Hello-

I am creating a buzzfeed style site, with quizzes and listicles (ie "20 cats with sweaters").
The subject matter of the site is not allowed via facebook ads, so my plan was to promote
the site via
facebook groups (twist on Basstrackerboat method) and Mass Planner to automate
to FB groups and other social networks.

What are your thoughts?
Can I push a good amount of traffic to the site via this method?
Is there a better way?

the method about which you are talking is really good but it needs cosistency. once you figure out how things work then you will start to have significant amount of traffic.

The BTB method is actually solid. Your twist isn't bad. You just have to keep up on it to build it. So to answer your question, yes, you can push a good amount of traffic to your site this way. You can also do the same with:
Twitter
Tumblr
Possibly Instagram
Reddit

Thanks to sanchez1 & clevelandslim for your reply.
OutOfTown, I plan to use
Mass Planner to automate to Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram.
I feel comfortable with facebook, but no so much on the other social networks, hopefully Mass Planner can help me.

As far as Reddit, I was going to
try this method, unless there is a better one out there that I am not aware of.

Thanks to all!!

I use a lot of advanced tricks to help promote my clients viral content. They think because they throw on a sale cheaper than Amazon people will just buy from them and its not true. A lot of my time is spent making reviews, hacks, tips, tricks, shares, giveaways, contests, even sponsorship agreements. Most of the time the production quality is extremely pricey and the engagement / conversion rates are extremely high for such content. Money talks and the more money you poor into a site and create extremely high quality viral content, the less you need to spend on convincing people to return for more.

Thank you for your insights soullector!
I am focusing on quality content spending hours on each quiz and other content.
For now the site will have no ads, I will only be collecting emails via sign up on the
site and sell conservatively via email list.

Doing something similar and its working pretty well, only difference is we are doing the posts manually to start off with and after a certain bulk we will resort to Mass Planner. Try to include a lot of hash tags in every posts as those i have recently noticed on FB give a higher organic reach.

Good idea, a good friend of mine started a project similar to this recently with Twitter.

I have a question though, does anyone know if you can get punished by GoogleAdsense if you are using the same content as other "listicle" sites. Ie. Taking a (20 Reasons why...) post from another website and adding it to yours. It seems like it will speed up the mind numbing process of creating those clickbait articles yourself. Not really worried about ranking as the traffic will come from social media and the sites themselves I doubt will care/notice, I'm just concerned whether or not your adsense account can be banned or penalized.

Frolic, I'd love to PM back and forth with you and trade ideas. I'm working on a viral content site also like ViralNova.

PM if you want. :)

Mind numbing for sure!
To make a good quiz takes me like 4 hours. In fact I should be working on it right now!
I dunno about GoogleAdsense, maybe someone else can chime in.

In regards to duplicate content regarding Google Adsense, you rewrite it. Either you get some sort of article spinner or do the rewriting yourself. For listicles... like 20 cats doing silly things... I mean you could use some of the pics from one list and some from another list... if you go and Google... you'll find a lot of the same lists exist (just have some differences).

I could be wrong though. I feel like a n00b when I read the stuff in here. But that's how I do it.

That was the way I was planning to do photo lists.

Awesome. I love lists. People love lists. Lists are good things. Also, I think the idea of watching a top 10 video and then writing it up with your own twist is a good idea. I actually hate watching videos so I'll read something before watching a video especially a list. Anyways, PM me if you ever want to chat. I used to work on political blogs, but I really just want to write about kittens and Buzzfeed stuff. So sick of politics. lol
