Buying shoutouts = Burning money?

Hey,

after a few times testing I see that buying shoutouts via story and feed posts are really not the money worth. Even with good content (funny niche) there come only very few followers int the end.
Tested it with different pages between 50k and 100k and it really surprised me that the outcome is so low.

So what options are there to grow a account with budget and no automation?

Well,it depends on from where you bought it
testing 2 or 3 bad pages that didn't give results don't mean it doesn't work
You can try also to do shoutout4shoutout

Well in general there are many factors which could lead to bad results as @majdi107 said you will need to find the right kind of account to promote with.
I guess that it is pretty possible and many people doing it. Just dont expect some magic numbers to pop-up only on the fact that the promoter got many followers.

Sure I target the same niche and also checked engagement. But in the end I dont get 10 new followers from a 50k page story and post.
Even if it would be a bit more - It's not worth for the prices that are normal.

It works but only as part of a coherent strategy of targeting the correct influencers, having hq engaging content and the most appropriate #hashtags.

In my experience it is usually one or more of those things that has been done wrong.

You need to research more... maybe you don't know how Instagram works?
There are many things you gotta do when buying a shoutout from Instagram pages... It's not like 2-3 years ago when you could just buy one and get a ton of traffic.
Nowadays people just have fake followers/engagement... for example, I can buy followers from a random provider (I think It was 1k followers for $1), upload content and go to an engagement group for people to like comment, and most of the people will think they have real followers and good engagement.

I am working on growing the pages using follow /unfollow method from competitors, hashtags and its working fine. I have pages getting round 200-500 monthly. I accept its a little low but they are real target followers interested on the content.
