I am looking to buy a few expired domain for obvious BH reasons.

I see decent TF/CF, DA metrics, but taking with a grain of salt because everything can be faked.

However, since these are expired domains, google seems to have no page indexed...and if I found something indexed then it's the "Domain for Sale" or something similar to that effect.

Since google now knows that the site expired and I am repurchasing, do you guys think that if I 301 this site to my money site or if I re-create the same site, will it hold the metrics that it had before the site expired?

If the sites are deindexed is it wise to 301 them? I mean they are not indexed so they are not sending any linkjuice.

From my experience 301 is good when the domain is similar to yours website - from the same categorych/niche. If it is not it can't really help. It will be better to build then sites on that domains and links from them to yours site or use them as buffer sites (they have old links so can bring more links to it) and then redirect

Re-create it. It will probably hold the same metrics - if the links pointing to it stick and they are powerful you have a decent domain.

Check history first as some domains may never index due to penalty in which case it would be useless to get them.

Yes, but check the history of the domain first if they were abused previously.

Thanks to all... Looking at the history shows some of these were abused by chinese SEOs ... so the site my niche, went to a different niche with a ton of non-english links and dropped...

You guys rock - thanks.
