I am in talks with a guy who has channel in education niche. The channel is getting 2000 views per month and about 60 hours watch time every month. But last video was uploaded 2 years ago. How much should I offer him ? Is it worth buying this channel?

If he last uploaded two years ago it’s pretty much a dead channel. I wouldn’t spend any serious money on this especially if you’re not planning to upload videos in the same niche.

How much is serious money for this?

I see some earning potential there. Like the videos giving views currently are book reviews. He has not even given links to those books in description. So that can give some earnings. He has quoted me like $150 for it. Should I take the risk? Another problem is how to go with deal here? If I make payment upfront, there might be experience of getting cheated.

Yes. But total views in last 28 days are 2000. He sent me screenshot of last 28 days views.

Buy only if you are in edu niche and can produce more videos regularly.

The number of views and watch time the channel is receiving currently seems relatively low, especially if the last video was uploaded two years ago. However, it's important to consider other factors that could impact the value of the channel.

One thing to keep in mind is the niche itself. The education niche can be quite lucrative, and there may be opportunities to grow the channel and increase its revenue potential. It's also worth looking into the channel's subscriber count and engagement metrics, such as comments and likes, to get a better understanding of the channel's overall performance.

In terms of how much to offer the seller, it ultimately depends on various factors, such as the channel's potential for growth, revenue history, and subscriber count. It's worth doing some research and evaluating similar channels in the same niche to get an idea of the market value of channels like this.

Before making any decisions, it's important to conduct due diligence and ask the seller for access to the channel's analytics and revenue data to make an informed decision.

That’s way too much. 2.000 views per month is nothing. On top of that you also don’t know where those views are coming from and what retention they have.

Tell him to also send you his earnings of the last 6 months as well as his CPM.

don't tell garbage if you have no clue.2000 views can be $80 per month everything depends on his CPM.Niche is fine now is the question what countries these 2000 views are and what CPM he has out of it

40$ CPM for book reviews? If he was making 80$ each month he wouldn’t be selling the account for 150$.

As someone running multiple successful channels in different niches I think I have ‚a bit‘ of a clue.

would you have a bit of clue you would know everything depends on the location of viewers

If you read my complete message you’ve initially quoted we wouldn’t be having this discussion. You basically repeated what I already said.

It would be nice to confirm previous months how the channel is being doing not just the last month to confirm if are organic or fake views, if the views are leggit you can but it but it will be nice to investigate a little bit more the history of the channel just to be sure.
