So i'm from Brazil and I created and use an ig account on my home ip (not using vps or proxy)

I already botted in this account and I plan to put it in a VPS 24/7 with GMT2, but if I put in a VPS with IP of the US I have high chances of taking block or things like this? then the right thing to do is put with a proxy from Brazil ? (does anyone know of any brazilian proxy seller?)

Or would it be better for me to manually post in this main account, and use the child account method from growing it?

There is a chance to get a lock, but temporary, which is decided by getting a code on the phone or mail. And then you can work without problems.

You don't have to use the same country proxy, just dont continually keep changing proxies. After you move it to the US proxy, or whichever country you choose, then leave it there. You'll get a verification once you switch it, but that's normal. You'll only start to run into issues when you start continually switching it from proxy to proxy.. switch it, and park it.

After the initial code, should not be a problem...

It won't affect your account when the proxy is not your country proxy but don't change your proxies to often. That can have an affect on your account.
