I had better start this by saying that while yes, I do own a fiverr clone, this ain't about that!!! I'm Pissed and need a rant before I shoot the bastards!!

I am so SICK and TIRED of these A**HOLES!

I had a year old account with 20 well performing gigs. Things were good, 3-4 sales a week, it served it's purpose. I had only made one withdraw in a year, so I had a good bit of cash sitting there and waiting to clear. I wake up one morning to check things....BAM! I'm banned. WTF for I wondered, quite loudly! I mail customer support and ask to have my acocunt unbanned or at least my money, their exact words were "Sorry, but are not unbanning accounts like that. Please see the TOS. You can contact us in 45 days for your money." ......... F'in A'Holes!! WTF did I do wrong?! I never got another email back from them, it's been four weeks.

The week before I was banned, an intern of mine had his personal account banned in about the same way. Honestly I kinda figured he probably did something wrong, it's not that I even thought he would do something against their TOS (he's not that kinda guy, a real white hat in shining armor sorta person), but your mind wants to trust the big company before the little guy. It's kinda psychological. After I saw how they did me, now I know the truth.

At this point I said "screw these guys, I can do better than this!" So I started my own gig site. If you've been in the Make Money section you've probably seen the thread this week so I won't get into that here. I decided I was done with fiverr and wasn't putting any more gigs on. I just needed to buy some things. Naturally I made a new account.

Yesterday I spent $25 on some gigs to advertise my new gig site to sorta test the waters. I woke up this morning, yet again to a banned account. This time the reason is somewhat evident. Their way of handling competitons is dirty and underhanded to say the least. But there goes $25, down the drain. What if I had spent $100? I ain't getting it back. I emailed "support" but They'll just tell me to go F myself and keep my money.

FIVERR SUPPORT ARE ALL A'HOLES WHO THINK THEY CAN PLAY GOD!

    FIVERR ADMINS ARE TOTAL PRICKS!

FIVERR WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY FROM YOU ANY WAY THEY CAN! WHETHER A BUYER OR SELLER!

Question, how many people do you think actually wait 45 to 90 days to email them back and ask for $10, $20? They got it figured out!

I hope so. We have live chat, a full support team (I even sub in sometimes, so you may be talking straight to the CEO), and we actually try to solve problems. So far everyone on the support team has 5 stars in every catagory by everyone who has reviewed us. We'll walk you through any problem, not just referr you to the TOS and tell you to shove it up your rear end. :D

All our chat and emails are archived and reviewed weekly. If we see anything odd, we call the support guy in the office and discuss it. Maybe yet another big difference...our support is ALL in-house. They're responsible for every conversation they have.

Plus unlike fiverr the support and admins are not the same. No one can ban your account and then handle the support when you complain. No chance to play god with us.

Great marketing about your gig site. But as you said your self, this is just a FIVERR CLONE. I think you should try not to be like fiverr. Few years back, people used to imitate Google in hopes of beating it. Cuil is just an example which failed miserably. Back then experts said that the thing the will beat Google will be nothing like Google itself. And they were right. Now, the only thing that have ever come close to beating Google is Facebook which focuses on social, and it is nothing like Google. It doesn't do internet search. Likewise, do some brainstorming, the thing that will beat Fiverr will be nothing like it.

well I'm not trying to advertise my gig site. Honestly I'm just pissed and had it with fiverr and needed a rant this morning.

To compete with fiverr I must be somewhat like fiverr. I'm not trying to come up with the next greatest thing. I just KNOW we could do better, and we are. We already have fiverr beat in several key areas, it's just a matter of getting the sort of traffic fiverr has. Fiverr gets about 65,000 searches a month. We are getting about 1,000. But to be fair, we just launched yesterday. We have about 40,000 page views per day. I'm not sure how many fiverr gets, but I am sure it's more like 400,000 or more.

You can sit around and try to come up with the next "once in a generation idea" that will change the world...or you can find something that's working and actually go out and do it 100x better than the competition. I choose the later, but that's just my mindset and how I am. To each his own.

Yeah, I've had extremely bad experience with Fiverr customer support as well. They give me lazy, one sentence replies which are useless and when I tell them to email me back with a better reply, they just ignore me. Such lazy people. Are they underpaid or something?

Oh boy, I remember that :18:
Anyway, OP after 45 days, they will give you the money, but they do suck anyway. Did you had any gigs about giving warez stuff or such?~

exactly. You hit it on the head. I think most of their support is outsourced for pennies. They probably work from home and have no one to report to. Even if they have several users complain about them, it won't matter because fiverr will put it off as angry banned users. Fiverr cares about one thing and one thing only...MONEY. If they can pay some guy $.05 an email to run support, even if he shoots out rude one-liners, they will.

80% were writing articles, one tweet a message for ya type gig, and one submit your site to digg gig. (digg gig, heh.) They ran for almost a whole year just fine.

lol, maybe fiverr just needed some money to help pay the electric bill so they took mine with a promise to pay in 45 days.

    So there you go . . . Fiverr s u c k s

I ask myself - Why is Fiverr so very popular if it sucks !!!

I would say there are probably more than 100 X "$5.00 gigs sites" "micro jobs sites" and "Fiverr Alternatives"

And yet folks still flock to FIVERR . . .

the more important question is...why did you let your money just sit in your account rather than withdrawing it?

I was banned too for no reason, they owed me money - I contacted paypal and told them that I was scammed by fiverr and I want my money back, after a while I got my money back (from paypal, not from fiverr)...

the ban was also a motivation for me to run my own fiverr, i spent 2 months to write my own script, everywthing was nice then i got lazy and dumped the project. I aim for passive income, fiverr was a way to much work.

    I think, fiverr ... *put_my_sunglasses_on* is managed, by a 13y old. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa!..

Honestly I didn't need it. Fiverr was never an income source for me. I run a Media Group, we do alot of things online and off, just one part of our business structure is income producing websites. I heard about fiverr after it launched and I really liked the idea so I joined. I have a lot of passive income from other sites, but I have to be here at the office for most of the day to make decisions on other projects and solve problems for those in charge of my passive sites (where's my damn yacht and private island? That squeeze page promised!) Alot of times I'm just sitting here looking out the window thinking up another project or just plain out bored. I liked to write so I started my gigs as sort of a hobby to keep myself out of trouble.

I did pull out a few times actually just to test the system and to donate to a friend who did a gig for me, but it was less than $100 out. To me it's not about the money. It's about fiverr and the asses behind the site who think they can take your money. $1 or $1,000, to close an account for no reason and hold the money for 45 days so you can have a float is just flat out wrong. I hate BS like that, and fiverr is full of it.
