I'm trying to understand how you get shut down by your ISP when using the modem pools and SIM cards. How does the setup work? When I think of a modem I'm thinking of RJ12 pots lines... So you plop your SIM cards into the multi-port modem and start blasting your SMS messages...if your carrier shuts down one of your SIMs, how do you replace it? Do they blacklist you, or can you buy another SIM, how do you get around that? I guess there is no way to front-end the SIM through a proxy since its SMS protocol to the carrier. How do you get working SIMs without a contract? I could see the costs of keeping it operational going through the roof. I'm trying to figure out what kind of real world profit margin is possible.

Oh sh!@.. prepaid SIMs! hehehe... The per message costs seem kind of high though. Its almost like PPC in terms of having to sink a lot into it before getting the return, gotta have capital. If its 15c per message on the pre-paid SIM, and you blast a list of 100k, thats 15 G's you gotta recoup. What kind of conversion rates are typical from SMS? I guess with a good list and a tested and refined message you could bank, esp. if the lists include demographic data.

I would be interested getting a system set up. Scam buster I can not send pm yet so could you pm me your info and we can get this going.

with that price quote, have you considered taking making an app that sends sms messages from your desktop through your phone? they have caps. but i know of a carrier that has no caps associated with sprint and uses the android os on most of their phones. if someone knows of a way to set this up pm me about it or something. this company unlimited plan is also only 69 bucks per month...yes i said no bandwidth caps on internet data, or text. CDS

Mobile sms marketing is a new trend in marketing but it has great impact and gives more results as compared to email marketing.

I thnk mobile marketing is as worthy as email marketing if done in the appropriate fashion.Really yeids out good results.

Guys if you are looking to actively promote through SMS/voice, let me know and I'll get you started. You can try it for free to see if it's right for you.

How long do your sim chips last before the carrier blocks them using your modem pools?

Do you load them with $25 or pay by the day?

Does any of you knows clever ways to earn from mobile marketing?

OK let me give everyone the low down here. There are a number of ways to send sms. The first, which is slow and unreliable is through smtp...wouldnt waste my time with it. Then there is through modem pools, which is the cheapest and most reliable blackhat method. Then there is the short code (white hat) method, which is very expensive and time consuming to get up and running. I have seen twilio being thrown around the forum as the source for sms, when in reality they are a tier 2 or 3 aggragate, which is like a alltel cell phone company compared to ATT. similar, but in the end you are piggy backing off of att...wouldnt you rather go direct to thte source. for whitehat shortcode, i suggest openmarket, which is a tier 1 aggragate and after all my research...they were the best. I dont have anything to do with them other than they are the company i work with for my short code...

To let you know it costs roughly $5k to get your white label sms up and running. then $1500 a month in shortcode fees and roughly 2.5 cents per message. the good thing is you can put out millions a day if you wanted to...the bad thing is that you are easily tracebale. so in case one of your name complains you are found via your short code. Where with the modems it is a bit tougher to locate you.

So these modem pools i keep speaking of are how you should, if you want to make money quick and easy via sms, be sending out from. what you need: desktop computer, modempool, internet connection and sim cards. I sell the modem pools and would strongly recommend buying them from me, but if you want to chance buying from another company you can find them at alibaba.com. i have ten 8 port, ten 16 port, three 32 port and 1 64 port for international sending available. cost of these is going to be between$700 on up to $2500. Each port can typically send out 1000 messages an hour, so long as you arent using the same ip over and over. i have in one day messaged over 600k with 48 modems going for 16 hours.

data...the tough part is getting data that has been collected properly, which fortunately we have through managing as well as collecting the cells via our own sites. Would be up for anyone that is interested in buying some of it. we recieve daily feeds ...real time ....that ranges from 100-200k a day.

how much do i make a day? it depends on what i am sending out to and time of day to be honest. sometimes i can make over $1000 other times maybe 80 or 90...average around $450

let me know if anyone has any questions

Im interested in geting a modem can you pm me your prices plz maybe i can set up a similar system.

can anyone recommend me a good provier? I'm still looking and I'll like to send 20k to start.

yea, that does seem like a very powerful method.
and yea, im pretty sure that it is very hard to setup for yourself, it probably requires a lot of legitimate technical work
i know yahoo, aim, msn, etc. have this method for their instant messenger users but thats another story...

all you have to do is know the cellphone company ext. for example

at vtext dot com

at sms dot myboostmobile dot com is for boost mobile
