Building your own Backlinks 2021

Hi Guys
Been a while since Ive been on here as stepped away from Seo for a couple of years.... anyway, my question is what's the best way to build your own backlinks to rank Local as well as national ,in 2021..I used to buy expired domains build them out and link to them as well as other methods which worked well.

Any help or tips would be much appreciated as would rather be in control of building links rather than buying them Thanks

This still work fine
Don't forget to use the local citation sites.

Still works. I personally like to add link insertions and guest posts to the mix.

Building your own PBN with expired domains would be the most effective cheapest way for the long run,
Other than that, you can go with guest posting by manually reaching out to webmasters & build web 2.0s using them as buffer sites,
Just make sure to stick with the quality stuff in any of these (content, domains, etc...), the old spammy stuff is not as effective as used to be

You can try guest blogging, video marketing, bookmarking, article submission, local business listing and so on.
