Just made a new site and I think i built topical backlinks too fast. Do you think its bad?

the speed alone is not enough for google to penalize your site. They look at many things simultaneously, such as:

- how old your site is
- how many links it already has, over how many months / years it had acquired them, what the pattern of acquiring them is, etc...
- how much traffic your site gets
- what types of links your site gets
- etc...

So, it depends on how all of these elements fall into place that allows the retarded google bot to "figure out" whether the links were acquired organically or were built / purchased by yourself and thus, penalize you.

Here's a guide that will help you understand how to build links safely:

Adding to what @tazarbm helpfully pointed out, what also needs to be noted is that not every niche/keyword is the same. What works well for one niche or keyword group, might not exactly be the golden ticket for ranking in another niche.

@tazarbm has covered it pretty well. Just don't forget to keep whatever you're doing diverse. Meaning, backlinks from many different sources and/or types. Keep your content well-written and cover the keyword topic extensively.

* What are "topical backlinks"? Another term for web2 links or something else?
* How many is too many, in your opinion?
* Well... I guess, I'm not going to ask about the quality of the links.

So your question is very vague and hard to answer.

Don't build any kind of backlinks in a short period for your new website.
Surely It will affect your site in future. Build slowly and build quality backlinks.

It depends on the quality of links and for new websites you can focus on improving the on page structure, loading speed, keyword optimization, content quality, social media presence, etc. You can start building the links from the legit websites slowly.

It's not really about building them fast, it's about when Googlebot actually sees them. If you're building profile links and have no way to announce them to Googlebot, it's like they don't exist in the grand scheme of things.

While building backlinks quickly, should also focus on quality and relevancy to your niche.

Did you observe anything wrong in rankings and traffic to your website after creating the backlinks? Usually there is no difference, these links will benefit your website in long term if are not removed.

It's better to focus on the quality of links rather than the quantity of links. Then there is less chance of a bad outcome

Focus on quality and relevancy when building backlinks, even if you're aiming for speed. This helps long-term sustainability and avoids penalties from search engines.

If you are getting backlinks from national newspapers and institutions then you aren't going to be getting penalised. I wouldn't blow your load and get 100 backlinks day 1 and then never again, that won't get you far in the long run.

But if you getting stonking links then you won't having issues. As it is likely you aren't getting them big booty backlinks that Mr Google loves you may want to chill a bit and concentrate on getting some good content posted on decent relevant sites you should be alright.

Check out where your competition is linking and see if you can get some of those links over the next couple of months.

Edit:
I'm not saying for you to sit around while waiting to post your next link. Get to work on something else, there is always something to do.

Get a link then go do some content creation / web dev or plan out your next project. Don't just focus on backlinks, you need that sweet sweet content baby.

Getting too many backlinks too fast can be bad for your new site.

Not a problem at all. Early progressing will create the strong basement to your site.

But make sure with backlinks quality and your website pages should be indexed properly to get the results.

i suggest dont do so many backlinks just increase your backlinks step by step that can be good sign

Building backlinks too fast for a new site can look unnatural to search engines and may cause issues. It’s better to slow down and focus on quality and content for a more balanced approach.

I believe that adding a large number of low quality backlinks is worth it when you have good link mass and some traffic. For example, for the placement of good donors.

How old is your website, and how many links have you built? What types of links are they, and do they come from relevant, high-quality sites? For a new site, it’s essential to first focus on on-page SEO before gradually starting to build links.

If you build backlinks too quickly, search engines might find it suspicious and could lower your site’s ranking. It’s better to take your time and build them slow that looks natural.

Building backlinks too fast for a new site is too bad because it makes your site spammy and penalizes it

Make it a gradual process so you can get the rankings and traffic organic
