Tt depends on the quality of the backlinks. Too many toxic backlinks and you will get hit by a Google penalty

- what the anchor text of the backlinks was
- what the current backlink profile of the domain is
- how quickly those backlinks were indexed
- to how many url's money site you built backlinks
- what age the pages are in Google
- how many subpages the site has
- how many keywords the site is visible for

Build links slowly, dont rush the website with more links, it may lead to flag on search engines.
