I’ve been working on Trackly, a workforce management SaaS for remote and field teams.

Building the product has been more straightforward than creating a repeatable customer acquisition channel, so we are currently evaluating a partner-led approach.

The proposed model is simple:

  • A partner refers Trackly to a relevant business.
  • If the referral becomes a paying customer, the partner earns 20% recurring commission each month.
  • The commission continues for as long as the referred business remains a Trackly customer.
I’m not posting this as a recruitment or sales thread. I’m trying to pressure-test the model before investing more time into it.

A few questions for people who have built SaaS referral or partner programs:

  1. Is 20% recurring attractive enough for consultants, agencies, payroll providers, and IT firms?
  2. What materials do partners actually need before they start referring?
  3. How do you prevent attribution disputes and low-quality referrals?
  4. What usually fails first: recruitment, activation, tracking, or payouts?
Interested to hear what has worked in practice, especially for B2B products with longer sales cycles.
