Building a new FREE directory to get backlinks

Hey guys, I'm building a completly free directory in where you can submit your blog/website and search for other people within your niche:

1. looking for link exchanges
2. willing to sell/buy backlinks
3. accept/contribute a blog post
4. a public SEO forum

what do you think of it? Would you use it?

Everyone and their dog were doing this back in the 00s. I doubt it will have much traction nowadays unless you have a huge marketing budget and/or some sort of USP that other directories do not have.
