Building a back link profile Google will love

Wait so I have a question then, if you do wait 3 months and let's say diversify the anchor text. How many backlinks is considered safe per month / week / day?

i just analyzed another recent site for jobs for the unvaccinated.

jablessjobs.work they began news articles about 2 months after registration of domain and ranking well.

I would start slow if a new site. Build 1 link per 3-4 weeks between indexing dates.

If you build multiple in the same day you run the risk of them being indexed too quickly.

Make each live from 3-4 weeks or so of previous one being indexed by Google to appear steady.

If you wait the initial period and build them in this steady fashion focusing on high da sources you should rank well with only a handful of them.

Does this apply to posts/articles you are trying to rank or the site itself? I would imagine that a site where a normal webmaster is sharing on social media websites, discord channels, forums etc would organically get way more than that no?

yes, but over time. if the site is older it can handle more backlink volumes as it gains popularity on these social channels which comes in hand with higher existing back link counts.

If you already have 500RDs and 10000 backlinks you can probably get several RDs safely per week but again i would space them out between indexing date just to be extra careful.

As for the age of the site/documents. It's mainly for site age but the patent says "fairly recent documents should be assumed not to have significant number of back links" so i would build links to homepage/older posts until that specific post also ages 2 months.

The patent says documents, sometimes it refers to the site or individual pages.

This Is totally bullshit too!
If you have a great site and gets lost of Links in few days…. ????

You can have unlimited Links in few days, importend Is the Time what the User spend on your website

how about expired domain?
as long as it wasnt offline for too long or offline at all you can build immediatly but again do it steady and nice.

build 1 then again another 2-3 weeks from that one getting indexed so you have 1-2 new ones showing to googles eyes every 2-3 weeks, if you build many in one day you run the risk of google finding/indexing them all at once thinking they were created same day or within days of eachother which is "spiky"

so its the best if you have nice content on a great page to inform the user that they dont tell anyone from your site an dont share any link... not that google is still angry

Sorry, I strongly disagree.
Build as many links as you want... do you really think I'll delete or ask people to delete links to my site? No way I remove natural links.
This is probably the best guide - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/w...build-their-anchor-text-in-backlinks.1118984/.

Oh dear.

Have you ever earned backlinks to your sites?
If you did - I have - congrats.
That's a different story from BUILDING backlinks.
I tend to agree with op and take SEO as a marathon instead of a 100 meters run.

My favourite links... when my site gets mentioned and I do nothing for it.

  • If its a new domain, wait 3-6 months before building anything at all, focus only on content creation and on-site optimization/technical issues/bugs.
So in your opinion this time frame of waiting should be from domain registration date or from indexing it on google?

It is clear that the Google algorithm uses an artificial intelligence that can detect a certain order / disorder. Although backlinks worked very well in the 2010s, they are losing their effectiveness day by day. Because the current google search algorithm is focused on understanding what is written in the articles. That's why I don't think you should worry too much about backlinks. Follow Google guidelines, have social profiles, and write completely "user-focused" articles. Google will do the rest for you.

I'm not arguing here that backlinks are worthless. But I think backlinks will cease to be a ranking factor in the future.

matt cutts was cited saying backlinks arent going away in the foreseable future

patent describes indexing date as the more reliable date of inception according to them

What if old domain is listed for sale for years and that sale page is indexed.
Later i build some site on it and it gets reindexed with different content.

What do think about this case?

It is not easy to wait for 6 months without any returns. There are expenses like hosting and content.

if it is dropped/for sale for too long the old links relevant to the old content get discounted and no longer help to rank the domain or boost its authority.

"Alternatively, if the content of a document changes such that it differs significantly from the anchor text associated with its back links, then the domain associated with the document may have changed significantly (completely) from a previous incarnation. This may occur when a domain expires and a different party purchases the domain. Because anchor text is often considered to be part of the document to which its associated link points, the domain may show up in search results for queries that are no longer on topic. This is an undesirable result.

One way to address this problem is to estimate the date that a domain changed its focus. This may be done by determining a date when the text of a document changes significantly or when the text of the anchor text changes significantly. All links and/or anchor text prior to that date may then be ignored or discounted."

also if the site isnt nearly on the same topic for a freshly dropped/for sale page itll result in the similar discounting above ^

You want a domain that is in the niche you plan to relaunch it as and that hasnt been expired for very long.

It is not easy to wait for 6 months without any returns. There are expenses like hosting and content.
i know. This is a real set-back for webmasters with a small budget.

A good solution would be to use a cheap shared hosting plan for first 6 months then when you begin link building and resulting traffic increase upgrade your hardware to a dedi.

Then the site speed will suffer which is a very important ranking factor these days.

It won't kill your seo too much ive seen many slow sites maintain ranking despite always being very slow.

It's not really a make or break it factor or listed in the patents anywhere as a major influencer of domain scoring.

You can also make use of free cloudflare CDN to atleast using their caching etc in the meantime too

It would be more detrimental to rush your link building which could mark you as a spammer to their algo which is very tough to earn trust and authority after that
