hi BHW!

help me, how to grow my email list fast fro scratch?? I have heard about people here like otrap and others have big lists. How to grow mine? i have heard about buying targetted traffics, but where can i find such traffic?? help me..

You can make a PDF and put it on giveaway directories! Or you can go to ad-swaps and do JV interaction with other people who allready have a big list!

First of all you need to know what niche are you after. After that you need something to give away, like an ebook or a video course or anything (you can get away cheap with some PLR and some 2012 graphics). Then you advertise your landing page by ppc or by buying banner spots on websites in that niche. Make a strong emphasis on the fact that you give s*it for free and things should go well.

you can buy a spot on someones list and get massive targeted opt-ins with a good free offer! Super simple to grow your list fast. Solo ads are the way to go.

You can buy a list. That's a fast way.

You won't build a GOOD list fast, though. Just doesn't happen.

1. It's not the size of the list that matters, it's how targeted it is to what you are trying to sell.
2. Giving away a premium in exchange for the email address is a strategy that has worked for me in the past.
3. You could create a contest and have other people promote it for you. I've seen that work but havent done it myself.
4. The most important thing is to drive targeted traffic to your landing page where you are giving away your premium.
5. Lastly, remember that IM is not a shortcut, it's a legitimate business opportunity, and businesses take time to build.

Bingo. My list is actually pretty small compared to most (40K active). A lot of them are buyers at various ranges, so their value is higher.

I ran an affiliate contest once (for a launch) where a guy with a list of 70K subscribers (most all buyers) beat out a guy with a list of 7M subscribers (almost all freebie seekers). Size is okay, but list QUALITY is where the gold is.

This can work VERY well. Granted, you'll get plenty of freebie-seekers, but that's not necessarily bad if you do a lot of CPA sign-up offers. Plus, you're bound to get buyers as well. Mix and match which can be quite effective.

Can't be said any better.

Funny that the thread poster mentioned OTrap, I was just reading most of his threads in one sitting the other night, especially the ones regarding days he met targets, then surpassed them. Was amazing to see how he has come on. Inspirational stuff indeed.

OTrap, when you mentioned buying lists, are they already targeted buying subscribers, or is it a bit hit and miss?

What sort of numbers does buying a list, say two thousand cost? This is just out of interest, I couldn't afford to buy one, and have no set campaign built yet anyway.

OP you could certainly do worse than take the advice given in this thread, the guys that are answering in this thread will be giving pearls.

1) Buy solo ads
2) Buy Google Adwords Coupons on Fiverr (you can get like 15 for 5$ so 1500$ of Adwords for 5 bucks)
3) Remember your squeeze page HAS to be short and sweet

Yeah, you've got to be pretty smart to make it work with adwords considering they don't allow squeeze pages. I've got a pretty good method for this though.

few rules...

1. No One Sells A GOOD List - Despite what you see
2. Co Reg Leads Are Crap
3. Building A List Isnt Important But Building A Targetted List IS
4. You Need Ton's Of Targetted Traffic / High Converting LP
5 You have power once you cross 25k leads in a legit autoresponder service
6. When you have 1m leads in a AR you are set for life ;)

#1 isn't entirely true, but decent leads are EXPENSIVE!

When I first started, I wanted every email address in the world... and then reality hit. I then learned that emailing is not as easy as the people who land in the spam box make it look. It is very hard.

Now, I only build my list with one type of business. I scrape the web very often looking for new emails but I am very particular and manually go to each site. It costs me a lot of money to do it this way, but it is the only option I have.

You have only made one comment and just joined BHW. Keep reading and see what happens. You will learn.

Coyote,

Do you have any advice for scraping emails? I do pretty well with opt-in only mailing and have never had success with scraping emails.
