I signed up for evo a couple of weeks ago. At first it seemed to work great (I'm past the trial), now I'm having nothing but problems trying to get it to run. I am feeling mightily frustrated as I've hardly been able to do any runs in the past few days, and apparently I am the only one seeming to have these problems, according to support ...
At the moment I don't feel I'm getting my money's worth (maybe if I could use it lol), so I am looking for possible alternatives. It's doubly frustrating as I liked it when I first started using it. But you leave your computer unattended for a few hours and come back and it's hung.
I thought I'd try and improve the service by telling support where it was hanging etc, and then asked when these problems were likely to be addressed. That's when I got told it seemed it was only me...
My concern is that it's not doing what it says it is supposed to do if it's hanging.
And I installed it on a windows VPS according to the suggestion of some who had successfully used it on one, right down to the host (godaddy of all things ...), and of course, it hasn't worked for me. Can't even get it to load a project, and now can't even get past the login screen. I gave them the details of the exception report and was told (after asking when these things might be addressed with an update) that it was not supported on a VPS. This was after I had pointed out that unless you buy another computer, (which is not an option for me at the moment) you are bascially choosing to either run evo and get no work done on your computer, or not run evo (and thus not get good use out of it).
Did I mention I was feeling frustrated ...
