Broken links method

I had a VA do it for about 50 hours. I think I received 4 links from it. It wasn't really worth the effort. Well, I guess from a cost perspective it was about $50/link, which is good. But I've found that getting new links on old posts don't really move the needle much... so not worth it.

That's interesting. I always thought that getting links from older and mature high PA pages would be very valuable. You're saying that as the page gets older it is less valuable?

I haven't received a worthwhile boost from one. YMMV.
 
Use linksspy it will show the backlinks from your competitors and automatically sends email contacting the owners.

This is a great idea. Thanks for the tip. I'm definitely going to try this on a few.

Offer them money to change the broken link and then you have a conversation :)

Most people say they never get more than 2-3% of responses
This is a difficult method and in my opinion nothing but waste of time
