Hi ,

Last week i have checked with the back links and i have found nearly 10% of the back links are dead or 404.do these links effect my ranking.and other 2% of the back links are with moz spam score above 5.
and my site has been raised with spam score 1 to 3 can any one suggest me in this regard.

I will Disavow the back links with spam score.
what about the broken links.

Yes... redirect your 404s to the current relevant pages. Do not redirect 404s to the home page. Google treats those as soft 404s which wont improve your PageRank.

These are back links not my website pages and yes they are still indexing

Yes..its a backlink..It may affect the site by search engine..Please try to avoid like that broken links.

Google Analytics is a great free tool for tracking website performance, and it’s also helpful for easily finding broken links. broken links result in a 404 error when clicked. This is usually because they’re attempting to redirect visitors to a missing page or a non-existent resource.

You can't do much about the broken backlinks, apart from possibly contacting the webmasters about them. Wouldn't bother too much about 2% of your links being scored as potential spam by Moz. Until you see a negative impact in your rankings, wouldnt be too concerned.
