Brand search volume sometimes better than backlinks?

I really would like to know if brand search volume is such a strong authority signal that some people are saying it is and if it’s worth the effort.

Let’s say my website went from 10 branded searches per month to 500-1000, what would most likely happen? An overall ranking boost? Anyone who have increased branded searches to a site, what happened?

Backlinks sellers have been abusing brand name search for years now, they use it to sell fake impression of search traffic. As far as I'm concerned, it is a worthless metric unless people are truly searching for your business. I would only take it seriously for business and app websites and not some random news or blog website using it to fake their traffic.
 
Yeah I know they do it but I am talking about it as an authority signal to Google with real people searching for my brand. And to achieve this I am thinking of everything from posting YouTube shorts to run radio commercials. Like really get real people searching for my brand. You are saying this is completely worthless for SEO?
 
tbh i think brand searches are underrated, not sure they beat backlinks but they seem to help build trust over time
 
I don’t think brand search works like a magic switch on its own. It usually helps more as a side effect of real demand. People search the brand, click it, come back, mention it elsewhere and that whole loop makes the site look more established. If a site is already decent, going from 10 branded searches to a few hundred can help a bit. If the site is weak, thin, or has no real topical authority, brand volume alone usually won’t save it.
 
brand search volume is a good signal and going from 10 to 500 branded searches monthly would def lift overall rankings. Google treats rising brand search as a auth indicator.
 
yeah it moves the needle, google reads that volume as real demand/trust signal you can't fake easily
 
I think branded searches are a positive signal, especially as your site grows. On their own, though, I haven't seen them cause a major ranking boost without good content and overall site authority.

It is much better for you to have a thousand searcher find you than a hundred links. is not it? Why? Not because of the searchers themselves but because it is the interest itself that create the citations the links, and the clicks and Google loves those.

brand searche are helpful but are just a result of authority and not replacement for backlink. once people start searchig for your brand name it mean that they have already trusted you because of something else.
 
Brand search queries are a great trust factor indicator, although by themselves, they do not increase your rankings.
When brand search queries increase significantly, you will definitely get increased CTR increased Google trust, and improved ranking stability
 
From what I’ve seen strong brand searches definitely help trust signals but they work best alongside backlinks and good content If branded searches jump from 10 to 500+ you’ll usually notice better stability and easier rankings over time not an instant boost.
 
Though branded searches do not enhance rankings they work as a great trust factor and relevancy indicator.
When you move from 10 to 500 or 1000, you will experience higher CTR and better ranking stability

brand searches can be a positive sign, but they usually don't boost rankings on their own. i would focus on a building a strong brand along with quality content and backlinks. , as that's more likely to improve your overall SEO.
