bought a site cannot apply for adsense

Hi

hopefully my problem is common and it has an easy solution:

We bought a car blog with decent organic traffic and users, we now want to apply for ad sense.
However we got declined. Apparently there is another account connected to the URL
Can the previous owner delete that url from his adsense?
Do we need to delete something else from the site? like some piece of code? Obvs we are totally newbies to this but we removed the previous owner banners from the site and tried to reapply, but still got rejected ;/

help? have you ever done this with an existing site changing ownership?

What's the reason for the rejection? Does it state that the domain is associated with another account or is that just assumption?
 
Consider buying an account, save yourself from all the hassle.

For your application to be successful, make sure you've resolved the issues described in the disapproval email we sent you:

  • If your application was disapproved because it matches a currently approved AdSense account, then you must close your other account before you reapply.
  • If your application was disapproved because your site doesn't follow the AdSense program policies, then you must fix the issues with your site before you reapply.
The email I have first received when rejected instead was more generic.

The website content is unique and it has a good navigation. I think it might have something to do with the old owner having it registerd with ad sense already?
 
If you have never had an adsense account then it's the second option:
your application was disapproved because your site doesn't follow the AdSense program policies

Just because the old owner ran adsense on it doesn;t mean google will approve it for a new adsense account. You might be better off by buying an adsense account or open an adsense account with another website with good content, then once you have your account, you can run the ads on this domain too. But since adsense deems it not to be good enough, it might get banned later on (if discovered).
 
Looks like the previous owner hasn't removed AdSense from their account. I would contact the previous owner and ask them to delete the website details their end

No, it's nothing to do with whether OP as another adsense account. What that phrase meant was there is another adsense account with the same domain as OP.

well that's the thing we asked the seller and he said he cannot delete it and that
You simply need to change all adsense code blocks with code from your AdSense account.
Is this true? has any of you ever deleted a website from their adsense account? how did you do it?
