Boss is always right

I usually do not agree with my boss and we discuss both points of view and find the best solution. He tends to like his own most of the times. But the moral is that he is not always right and if you do not speak you will not be heard.

the terminology is correct in the sense that what the boss says goes and if you find yourself disagreeing often with the boss then you probably need to think about leaving.

You need to understand the difference between power and right.

I own my company, i can say the capital of france is berlin. I am wrong. If i am a shit owner i then enforce that view and if you disagree i have the power to fire you.

If you work for someone like that... run!

In an ideal working environment, the boss should always be right. The reason for this is that, in a proper leadership role, a level up in a workplace hierarchy should have opinions that are a mix of their direct reports' ideas and opinions as well as their own.

If the boss is intelligent he will always listen to his workers. They might not always be right, but if he proves them wrong he gains authority in the eyes of the team which won’t wonder why he’s running the company. And if the worker is right and boss agrees, then the boss also wins because he gets a new approach in his business which he wouldn’t have thought of.
I don’t remember who said it, but you should always hire smarter people than you. They’ll make money for you and you can enjoy the life.
Great leaders have to make good decisions in leading the team and company. But the execution should be done by smarter people below them.

Small business owners are a bit like the working class (and often from the same stock). They've only experience of a small section of life, which leads to them believing that they "know it all" because they understand one section.

If you only own a hammer, everything looks like a nail springs to mind.
