I am extremely good at one thing, and that is a deep dive into whatever interests me at the given time - I stop the research once I am certain I have an expert knowledge on the subject and I am pushing myself towards being very technical about this process as well. So let me give you an overview of how this is going to work and the reason I am going to partake in this madness in the first place.

At the most essential level, what I do has to be spiritual - It must be driven by an overpowering cause, otherwise I will lose interest; this is the primary reason I am opting out of getting a job. The major priority I have now in this effort is becoming really accurate in the processes I think in; specifically the vetting process I take ideas through so that they are accepted and acted upon. This is the growth strategy that will provide me with the greatest valuable growth; the overarching skill that will turn what I know into money.

This is the first priority of this journey - what this results in is a very rigorous content strategy on my part; there are no holds barred from my end and I am sure that you will benefit from that, specifically considering that I am most probably going to take to academic writing. I will provide as much operational information as is relevant and useful.

Right now the focus is on learning copywriting and turning that into a freelance income, from there I am moving on Kindle publishing - this is for the purpose of following tim ferriss' instruction in the four hour work week.

I have a cascading goal for this project:

1st: $400/m
2nd:$1200/m
3rd:$3000/m
4th:$5000/m
5th:$8000/m
6th:12000/m

The way in which I plan to do this is through a niche digital media operation, I want to have it focus on video, text, audio, and Images - Right now in my country entertainment has become a really big market, so being able to provide these services and products will set me up very good. While most corporations do not yet have any understanding in how useful digital media is so the growth potential is very high - local and internationally.

I am tired now and if I carry on writing now I will start rambling uncontrollably. I will add more tomorrow, I would like to make this a daily thing ; but we will have to ask my A.D.D how it feels about that, nevertheless that is me.

peace,
Damion

Nicely written and good plan it looks like you got a solid foundation. I myself have been looking into writting as a way to make freelance money so this thread will be helpful in the future for me.

Good luck sir I will be looking at this closely.

I dont understand how the goals of certain amounts of money per month help you at all. They are not even in a time frame or have particular meaning. Make goals of things you can work straight for, like actual things you can work towards doing and not just amount of money you hope to be making at some point.

Thanks man , I Appreciate the input. I will get to correcting them in a bit.

Awesome man, if you find something that is not clear let me know, I will be happy to iron it out.

Honestly
Abysmal, as soon as I read your first line I thought, this guy could be adhd\add :-) I knew because I am of that ilk my friend.
Good luck with your journey.

I wasted a lot of time this weekend trying to come up with an update. I nearly over complicated everything and waffled an entire volume about the business cycle of products. Although I have settled not to do that and came up with something a lot more useful than that:

Like all skills copy writing can be broken down into sets of sub-skills and tasks, all of which have a certain performance criteria. Trying to focus on everything at once is a very advanced form of procrastination, instead of doing that I want to ensure that I can do this sustainably over the long term, while also having an edge over most people in this field - higher price point, more authority, ect.

The easiest way to do this is to look at the product; in this case the sales letter. I simply searched google, I searched for a technical analysis of a sales letter. - I attached what I found - It breaks down the sales letter into components:

The Deck - Headline ( and subheader ) ; I also know it as being above the fold
The Intro
The Body
The Pitch , or Intro to the offer

Right now I am only focusing on the deck, because it is the most important skill in the entire arsenal. - and it keeps this short and sweet - There are YouTube channels that focus on current affairs, Sargon of Akkad gets $200/ Month on his patreon account because people find what he is doing valuable ; I am sure that if I can solidify my stance and make sure I have enough distribution I can do very well in this space - Yea, that means I am going to spin news articles.

Although I am focusing on my ability to channel traffic from twitter to where ever I want it to go. The reason I have chosen twitter is twofold

1) It is short form and the deck fits perfectly in a short form content platform. The content has a very short shelf life as noise is the biggest problem on twitter , and I have a lot of space to measure what I am doing with link tracking ( best of all none of this costs money)
2) I know how to deal with crowds in an instant messaging environment, I want to take this to twitter because I have the possibility of influencing at scale - this is not as powerful as it used to be , although the skillset is invaluable - knowing how to tell stories in short-form content is an important skill to have in the effort of becoming unstoppable on social media ( there is a tool that turns hastags into a content stream for twitter; essentially joining a chat room )

Operational information:
1) I got myself a RSS aggregator, this means I do not have to search for content on the topics I am interested in, it gives me a constant stream of content to look at and better with copywriting skills
2) I am placing it on twitter ( as I add more skills to this skillset the content strategy will get more involved and expand to other accounts ) to create an instant feedback loop, which drastically speeds up the learning process

Shoot any questions, suggestions and tell me about what you are doing in this vein
