Books created by AI?

Hey there,
I think this would be possible but would it be profitable?

Imagine feeding a AI 1000 books or more let's say about sleep, and then let it write 200 Books about it.

I mean it was/is possible to create whole videos with AI, it shouldnt it be way easier to create books?

Yep. This is something i’m working on as we speak. Leveraging AI (via GPT-2) is relatively easy and achievable using the smaller model (117m). The challenge is finding the right data moreso than anything else. Crap in = crap out unfortunately so obtaining the right material formatted in a good consistent way is the most difficult element. It’s possible and i’m looking at creating models under specific niches such as weight loss, acne etc but as i say it’s all dependant upon the quality and amount of the data you feed in.

I did a variation of this using public domain books as the source and re-spinning them. It was my first venture into amazon kindle a number of years ago. It made good money.

The good thing is that AI techniques are always getting better, more efficient...

Would be interesting to know if Top Notch Companies like google(...) would be able to create Text where you can see no diffrence to human written text

Your definitely right, I´m not that much into AI but this makes totally sense.
You have to find GOOD quality texts...
Could it be done by picking the Books with the highest ratings in this niche in Amazon?
It´s a very interesting topic as AI´s would take over a good portion of Books...

Doubtful that we're anywhere close to anything like that. I've seen many bots being tested in this context, most churn out really bad content.

I believe so, technology has progressed a lot these days and I do believe this is possible

It's always in my head that you can manipulate a freaking video and let it look real. Creating text should be a peace of cake.

I think those are two different types of technologies you can't really compare. One relies on video editing with a lot of existing parameters and patterns you can manipulate, the other relies on communication.
I can see a robot AI becoming a mastermind of disguise through video editing, but I can't envision one becoming a bestselling author, lol.

I think that readers (of any genre) still expect top-quality and no almost none syntax errors from books and eBooks they'd pay for.

BUT, there is one website in my niche that definitely does something similar as you suggest--taking content from other players in a niche (including my site), and using AI to publish 1000s of articles, without any human input.

They aren't of great quality, but the structure this website uses allows them to be somehow acceptable (for readers of website content and for Google). They rank top 10- top 20 for hundreds if not thousands of long tail keywords...

Obviously they work with very low end ad networks (since nobody serious would accept them), and barely making $1-2 per 1K visitors. However, this is a big niche, and if they can scale it up, or move to other niches... you can do the math

No.

Depends on the niche, but the short answer is No, because the "profitable niche" books,
such as "weight loss," "how to trade stocks" etc., have TONS of fake reviews.

The reviews do not correlate with how good the book is.

You can see for yourself by checking on reviewmeta.com (that's what I always use)
or fakespot.com (less detailed analysis than reviewmeta).

Look up ANY book available on Amazon (in a profitable niche), and you'll see that >50% of the reviews are highly suspect.

P.S. Of course, this fake review stuff is true for any profitable product on Amazon. I've noticed the severity gets way worse on very popular niches, like weight loss supplements, longevity supplements, skin care/beauty products, penis enlargement devices (not that I've ever searched for that, lol), "relief from annoyances" products (bed bug sprays, mouse traps, itch-be-gone creams), etc.

Any product or book that a buyer might see and think, I'd give my right arm to have that will have a shitload of fake reviews.

There is a video online of an AI that writes a movie script. Very generic obviously, given that its learned from tons of other scripts. But from the parts they explained, at least it made basic sense and you can see the progress being made.

I think you can create a book in fantasy category with few attention to the result... But it'll need a lot attention for other categories.

I think you will need more than 1000 books to train even only for one book category.

They can make it syntactically correct, they can make it interesting even, but to be truly useful.. not sure about that. Books written by humans fail so bad lots of times on challenging topics. What an AI can do, for example, would be to find related resources which make learning easier.
