Bookmarking Demon?

I'm curious about emails also. Looks like BMD is set up for gmail, but will aol or hotmail work?

They all work but a word of warning.
Some directories don't like "free" email hosts like the above - because they have been so abused by spammers. So using your own domain adds credibility and improves acceptance rate.

My registrar provides a free email server with every domain registered - any unregistered usernames default to the webmaster account. So I just throw in random email usernames on that domain to BMD (and Article Demon too) and they all come back to the webmaster POP3 account for confirmation.

Yeah but I don't see how that would work if you want to sign up for 100 accounts with each SB site. If you had 100 accounts with all the same domain (but different users at that domain) then I imagine those accounts would disappear.

I hope I understood what you are asking - you want to create 100 accounts on each bookmarking site?
Not sure why you need so many - just a few accounts are enough to submit hundreds of URL's...
Many bookmarking sites won't allow you to submit the same URL twice (even if it is from different users) and anyway you can't automatically add a URL to a profile (like in forums).

Go back a page or two and read Scritty's posts. The power of BMD comes from posting to many accounts.

Not with the same IP they won't you need proxies.

The entire POINT of social bookmarking is to garner votes and guage what is popular on the net by counting these "votes" (submissions)
While most hi quality sites will limit the votes from the same IP for the same.

"profiles"?

What are you mentioning "profiles" for?
Yes you are right..but your point is meaningless (as are "profiles" on most social bookmarking site.)

Social bookmarking is first and foremost an indexing tool (not a linking strategy)

Each submission raises the value of the any link on the site you are submitting - and enough submissions will raise the percieved popularity of the URL being bookmarked.

Have you seen the front page of "reddit"?

Those links and articles are there BECAUSE THEY GOT THE MOST VOTES and by votes i mean ACCOUNTS SUBMITTING THE URL's

They are on the front page of a very high PR site visited tens of millions of times a day.

Submitting once will not get you there. It also will not give any link on the URL you are submitting the maximum chance of survival or the most "link juice" - and that is the main purpose of bookmarking for IM purposes.

Indexing - not link making

And to power your high quality links (articles, provate networks, forum profiles of whatever) then you need to hammer them with various different tools to get them indexed, boosted and stuck.

That's why tools like UAW fail these days..850 submission, 200 published, 25 indexed, 3 left after 3 months because they are not taken care of.

Of course, each bm link can give a short term traffic boost as well.

Overall, not entirely sure you understand what bookmarking is.

Don't worry though - we were all there once. :)

I do agree regarding what you said on indexing - but the rest of what you wrote is completely nonsense.

1. You definitely don't need many votes to get index fast, one user submission in each site is enough - trust me, I'm doing it for a long long time... using BMD create just a few accounts in each of the few hundreds of sites and submit your links with them - it does the trick. You don't need a 100 accounts per site.

2. For 99% of the bookmarking sites just a few votes is more than enough to rank you high - so you're wasting your time and money doing more. If bookmarking for you is only reddit and digg I would suggest you go and learn more (but don't worry - as you said - we were all there once).

3. And just to set things straight regarding reddit & digg - there are way easier methods to get hundreds of REAL people voting/submitting your link on reddit/digg at once. You can do it your way with BMD, but it's a total waste of time (again, don't worry - we were all there once.)

And of course you should use different IP's, that goes without saying for everything we do - do I really need to mention it? are we still in the beginners class?

Take it easy :)

Lol - totally clueless.

This from the guy whotalks about bookmarking profiles (eh? - this is not xrumer you know?)
And says you can't submit the same URL more than once (ahem - I do very much beg to differ - this is nonsense - of course you cocking can)

From these basic errors in the very foundation of what bookmarking is, I suggest you know sweet cock-all about it.

But thanks for adding another tranche of ill thought out diatribe for me to laugh at.

I do not use just Digg and Reddit (i never said I did - can you read? Are you arguing against someone else? Do you know what day of the week it is?)

So for a start i'm disinclined to read much else of what you have said because you clearly have not read what I have said (and are therefore arguing out of your ass)

I use the top 30 d o f o l l o w sites.

Not much point using more than them. n o f o l l o w have very limited value and the Scuttle and Pligg sites take hours to post and offer next to no benefit. It's rare to find one of these that isn't just a link cavern these days

But no - you know an easier way to get to the top of the hi ranking sites than BMD do you? If you can think of an easier way to get to the top of these sites than pressing a button and going and doing something else for an hour - then please elucidate. For the life of me I can't imagine an easier way. If you have one I'd patent it if I were you. Must be genius!

The top Bibsonomy, Delicious, Reddit, etc take 100-200 votes to make it to the top of their repsective home pages.

Additionally, links indexed with just one or two accounts (perfectly possible as you say) can be de -indexed just as quickly.

I't the equivalent of guiding an aircraft home with a couple of matches in the dark - or setting up chain of bonfires.

Your choice of course.
I had a URL top of delicious only about ten days ago. Niche was supposed to garner only 300-400 local searches a month. (it was a local product, no value worldwide). However. in 72 hours I had over 5,500 visits and just under 70 CPA conversions. The only thing out for the site were the bookmarks - no articles, no private network links - just the bookmarks.

You reckon you could do that with one or two referrals?
Site was less than two days old when I did it.

I hope many people follow your "mickey mouse" advice.

Less serious competition for me. :p

Hi

Can any one share sites which are currently supported in BMD

1. You definitely don't need many votes to get index fast, one user submission in each site is enough - trust me, I'm doing it for a long long time... using BMD create just a few accounts in each of the few hundreds of sites and submit your links with them - it does the trick. You don't need a 100 accounts per site.

BONG - WRONG. How mnay links do you make a day? Three? I think you'll find that many sites refuse to take over a certain (low) number of submissions PER ACCOUNT PER DAY (with some it's as low as three)

I submit hundreds of link locations a day. Hundreds of accounts is absolutely required. It won't work otherwise

I can only guess given your tiny amount of usage that you are a "mickey mouse" internet marketer. When you get serious come back and share what you've learned.

2. For 99% of the bookmarking sites just a few votes is more than enough to rank you high - so you're wasting your time and money doing more. If bookmarking for you is only reddit and digg I would suggest you go and learn more (but don't worry - as you said - we were all there once).
BONG - WRONG. The current number of votes required to rank on delicious homepage fluctuates between 70 and 100. It has NEVER been below 50 EVER. Digg is even higher, Reddit moves around a lot but is almost definitely in the same ballpark.

You aren't counting the "related tweets" are you? (I wouldn't be suprised if you were - you seem that thick)

You are either talking about something else or lying

3. And just to set things straight regarding reddit & digg - there are way easier methods to get hundreds of REAL people voting/submitting your link on reddit/digg at once. You can do it your way with BMD, but it's a total waste of time (again, don't worry - we were all there once.)
BONG - WRONG. Easier than pressing a button? Don't talk shite.

What could be easier than pressing a button? The accounts were set up ages ago, I have "pressed the button" hundreds upon hundreds of times for that small initial effort. If I divided the total hours spent setting up the accounts in 2007 by the number of times they have been used, it would likely be 3 or 4 seconds per "push"

So come on you smart ass - tell me what method you have that is quicker?

Please publish it in detail so we can all appraise it.

And of course you should use different IP's, that goes without saying for everything we do - do I really need to mention it? are we still in the beginners class?
Lol. 13 years IM and probably making more in a week than you do in a year.

Other points..

Why buy BM demon or wiz or whatever - if you are going to have 2 or 3 accounts. Seriously - What's the point

There are free web based apps that will do that for you. Why spend $100+ on a tool that does what a basic "onlywire" account would do for free?

You talk about "profiles" showing that you know nothing what-so-ever about bookmarking.

You say "many sites wont let you submit the same URL twice"?

What the Kuck are you on about? That's just plain verifyably WRONG. Of course they will you Kuck-nut. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF THEM

Unless you are just here trolling of course?

BTW hotmail acocunts work just fine. I have 200+ that I set up in 2007. Of which all of them still have most accounts open. Some have failed over time, but the vast majority of accounts on the vast majority of sites work just fine.

Buy pre-verified accounts for a few dollars per hundred. (pre-verified is important)

Anyway - back to numpty boy..

My guess? You're about 11 years old and want people to think you're the "big man". Well don't my friend.

People come here to make money. Many of them genuinely need it. Following your advice would leave them poorer than when they srarted.

So why not Kuck off into a corner and play with your coloured bricks.

Haha! Scritty's BONG has come out! I think BHW should include a BONG button for silly posts!

Anyway, I agree with pretty much everything you've said, Scritty, bar one thing that I've been having a minor problem with...

It's no real biggie and I don't really give a crap, but one site I know of that I have problems posting more than one link to is Jumptag5. At least that's what BMD reports back when trying to submit... 'failed to submit...url already submitted by another user'.

If anyone knows why or if I should be having this issue, feel free to share. But like I said, it's a minor problem especially when I'm submitting to hundreds of other accounts on other sites.

Scritty,

I am already lucking around this thread for some time and really appretiate your advise.

I need your opinion: I made about 20 bookmarking accounts, because I needed to get a promotion out quickly and started submitting. Afterwards I deleted the already crossed out ones and started submitting again. The first round I had about 60% success, then the second round almost all were rejected. It says something like username and password wrong - your account is banned...
Is it because I deleted the already submitted ones and BMD then can't remember which accounts were already used. And then the bookmarking sites understand something is wrong and ban your account.

Now my questions:
1. How do you avoid getting your accounts banned? That's why you probably suggest to create many hundreds of accounts.
2. I use 10 Private Proxies. Do your proxies ever get banned because these sites realize something fishy going on. Are 10 private proxies enough?
3. Do your websites (like your money sites) ever get banned. I read that Digg bans also websites that are spamming.
4. Once you submit like your 10 money sites to all the bookmarking sites. Can you submit them the next day again without getting banned? How do you do that.
5. What ratio are you using to camoflage your links?

Jump5 and a couple of others are twitchy. I don't use them, but they accept one submission then appraise the site to see if they will accept further submissions.

I don't use Jump5 (it often returns an error as well) so it's not on my rotation.

@poziko

To avoid getting banned have lots of accounts. ! account posting just 4 times in a day is often enough for some sites to put a temporary ban. You'll get an error like "Too many submissions" come up if you watch the reports. If it's on auto and it tries with the same account a few more times, then that may well become a permanent ban.

10 private proxies is enough for some pretty large runs. 2 or 3 submissions per proxy per site is ok. 30 sites, 10 proxies, 3 max = 900 submissions is a day (I tend to max at 500 submissions a day being about 100 links and 5 submissions per link across ten threads)

If I do a night time run of 1000 plus I use the scheduler. Most sites "forget" yout IP after an hour or two, So in an eight hour run you could push this total to several thousand easily. On days I have 250+ links to index I use this (though apparently biblli can do this with three accounts - I'd love to know how)

I have had sites banned. Not recently, but yes. Remember they are only banned by one site, so you can still post bookmarks to the rest. Digg is the main culprit for this. Don't worry though. It's only that site or that account. It's no biggie - make a few more. Note. Page one digg has a 64 digg story on it today - lowest I've seen in ages. Surrounded by ones in the hundreds or thousands. (Though apparently bibli can get on page 1 with 2 or 3 - I'd love to know how - guy must be a chuffing genius)

I wouldn't submit next day - but next week is FINE. Have a "Project" for each site and save it. That way BMD will not submit the same account/site combination twice. You will see when you "add sites" that one of the counters reads "Updated" which is when it comes across a potential double posting and resolves it.

Camo? Becasue of the number of accounts I have I use 1-1 (1 cmo for 1 real link) This is becasue with 6000 accounts (200 accounts across 30 top sites) i will rarely use the same one twice in a period of several days. If I had less acocunts I would increase camo as I would have to use each one more often (but then come accross the "daily limit" issue that a lot of sites impose)

All in all, despite what numpty boy says - the answer to most of these issues is more accounts. Less need for camo, less likely to have accounts banned, more bm's per day and less dauily limit thresholds reached.

Double-thanks for the same post :) This is really useful. Thanks, scritty.

Hi,

I also have tried this software seems to have no problem with the use of several websites that I have used this software to increase the traffic and the tray is true - really useful for me.

thanks for visiting my website.

Any discount for bookmarkingdemon? I will buy this tool.

I bought this and usually every BH software I run into. I have noticed a slight difference with back links by using this software but I stil think software for this aplication has it's limits compared to scripts. if anyone is interested in a social bokmark script that really works, let me know.

May I know it? I am interested in this script.

Scritty: thanks for all the advice you have given here regarding BMD, you are "the king" of BMD and man, it's obvious you really know what you are talking about. I have not seen many "well written strategy posts" here in BHW as all the ones you have been writing since you started contributing...

I've bought BMD a few days ago and I'm strugling to do one thing: I want to import 1.000 webpages and change the default "loaded" titles-tags-descriptions by my own spun texts for titles-tags-descriptions. The spun titles-tags-descriptions will be THE SAME for all the webpages (obviously I have spun the texts very heavily...). I'm strugling on how to do this automatically for all the 1000 webpages.

My strategy here will be bookmarking every one of the 1000 pages in the different bookmarking sites in BMD but changing all the titles-tags-descriptions in every bookmarking site. I this this makes sense, but may be you do not think so based on your experience...

I've tried to "export" the 1000 pages in a csv, change the csv (including my spun titles-pages-descriptions) and re-importing to BMG the new CSV..no way: seems BMD does not rcogniza the changed CSV...

How do you manage this?

Thanks a lot in advance!
