Bookmarking Demon?

Hi Scritty,

Thanks for your posts so far on BMD, they're useful for people like me who are new to that program.

Hopefully you can help out with a couple of questions...

Are you using different email addresses for every account you open for each bookmarking site?

Not a different email address for every site, but one email address for your first account on that site, another email address for your second account on that site, and so on...?

Also, would I really need 45 bookmarks per url to see positive changes in SERPS, and Traffic?

Right now I'm creating new accounts to selected bookmarking sites on a daily basis (it's only been a few days so far), and am using the randomization feature + RSS Camo when adding my links...

Too conservative? I'm not in a massive rush mind you!

Could you talk more about the strategy you're applying using BMD?

Yup - bought 200 emails accounts on this site (about 10 dollars) and then put them all in. It auto gens a password and user name (just press a button) once you have all the emails in, send them off one at a time to create an acocunt on easch site you have ticked per email account (about 10 minutes) it's all hands off, so you can be doing something else.

Every ten minutes, set another one going.

I just piled in about 30 or 40 aday for a week until I had all 200 email addresses registered with about 50 accounts each.

Exoect a 40% failure rate, but you BM multiple times (say 30+ BM's per URL)

With this many accunts you hardly ever need to use the drip scheduler becasue BMD will not use the same account twice for anything but the most massive of runs

I press the "add webpages to list" about 4 times, end up with 500-1000 bookmarks for anywhere from 30-50 sites. DOuble this because I use the RSS camo function which (once you have found a dozen or so generic RSS feeds to camo your self promotion) will mean 1000-2000 bookmarks

I press "go", then go to bed. It takesd maybe 9 hours to do 1500 bookmarks so I leave a laptop on overnight. Normally finished in the morning, most of the 30-50 URL's will have 15-20 bookmarks, and that pretty much insures that any links you have on them will be indexed. H

However I also use scrapebox Indexer addon and a random set of 1000 sites from a list of around 70,000 I have from BHW - I also put any PR2 or better URL's through a private network called Simple leveraging. Finally I send out RSS feeds to 100 plus RSS aggregators of all my links.

All in all, all my good first tier links get perhaps 1000-2000 backlinks each - from 5 or 6 different sources. I have about a 99.5% index success rate for every first tier link I create above PR1.

This means I spend the same - if not more - time getting my links juiced and valued and found than I do creating them.

Without taking these steps I find my articles and WEB2.0 structures and private links fail very quickly or are never found at all.

BMD is a vital cog in this setup for me. But is one of 5 or 6 link juicing tools or methods I use - on top of 5 or 6 1st tier link methods I start off with.

Thanks Scritty for a very helpful post.

Can I clarify my understanding on something plz?

Are you using BMD to bookmark your money pages directly or are you targeting the articles, hubs, squids, forum posts, profiles etc that link to the money pages. Or both?

Historically I used BMD directly on my money sites and in retrospect I think I may have done better to target the supporting pages that linked to the money sites. I've never had trouble getting content indexed anyway, but authority and traffic volume have proven elusive (with a few rare exceptions).

Maybe my links were too obviously junk.

Do you use Autopligg, Article Demon, XRumer or similar to create supporting pages?

I rarely BM my own pages (I do now and again, but not often)
My first tier links come from EVERYWHERE
WEB2.0 sites, private linking sites, articles, comments on hi pr sites. membership (proper membership not spam) to hi PR niche forums.

All this is possible if you are looking after 5-10 sites a time.

If you are "micro" site-ing 100's or 1000's of sites then this isn't really practical without a whole team of VA's

I'm doing stuff for several clients now in the UK and US mostly. Sites related to bricks and mortar stuff. Some of the really big accounts I'm in profit share for real goods (a percentage of GROSS sales - normally only 2-5%, but if it is a premium site pulling over a grand of sales a day, then that soon adds up)

I use these methods, I have a lot of keywords in the top 3 all over the web (not as many at number 1 as I would like, but loads of top 3 stuff)

It takes a **** load of hard work. 50-60 hour weeks. But that is because I always re-invest and build up. I'm in with several local web design companies and they contact me first up for SEO work.

I could slow down and have an adequate standard of living - or keep pumping more and more through and make a name for myself as a good SEO bod and be set up long term.

I'm going for the latter.

There are three forum members who I am currently working for, and several more making offers of work. If I do not deliver on what I promise - I expect them to shout "foul"...but that will not happen. Period. I have several other guys on BHW sitting opn sites pulling great traffic that I have assisted in the past three months as well. So far, so good

I read stories of easy money and all that. I am dabbling in some of the darker stuff "on the side" I have hundreds of twitter accounts running on auto. Not proud of where I'm guiding people, but hey, it's a service.

But that is NOT long term. Facebook, CL and others all make it harder and harder. It requires a constant re-invention of the entire ethos of working. Facebook will soon be almost watertight - at least tight enough to mean that anyone who doesn't dedicate all their brainpower to levering them open will fail. CL is going the same way.

Proper SEO does evolve, and learning new stuff is part of the process. Scam money on the net is made by systems that just plain stop working one day.

Sure, I'll dabble in the "dark side" but I commit to the long lasting stuff.

And sadly for lazy bastards, that means hard work and offering a good product or service in the long run.

It's the best job I have ever had, and I earn more than I ever did working for others. So for me it's well worth it.

Scritty I can't get BMD to do diddly squat. I spent all this time setting up new accounts and my runs are down to less than 20% success rate with private proxies and decaptcha running.

Thanks Scritty for helpful share.
One small question to clarify. You told "I have between 150 and 200 accounts on the top 30 services". I am not sure why you just need 30 services? Why not 150 accounts on 500 services?

One thing Im having trouble understanding is how BMD chooses user account for bookmarking.

I now have 11 accounts at the top 50 services.

If I add like 40 webpages and rss camo 1 for 1 I get around 2000 bookmarks in the que.

How do I know the same accts wont be used twice for the same bookmarks?

How many times should I hit add to que with this many accts?

You say u let it run every night. Does that mean every night you have 40 pages to index? Or are you doing the same 40 pages every night?

I just finished my first submission. I got 11 accounts on the top 50 services.

So 555 accounts. I put 40 webpages in the list with rss camo set at 1:1

I only hit the add webpages to que once cause I still can't wrap my head around the math of how it chooses accounts to use.

I did 1100 bookmarks and a little over 700 were successful.

I am using 10 private proxies and it only took around 3 hours to finish. I have been working on other stuff so I just minimized BMD and forgot all about it.

Then it pinged all my bookmarks for me. This tool friggin ROCKS!

Scritty am I on the right track with this tool?

What if I only wanted to bookmark 1 page? How many times would I hit add to que for that? Obviously I dont want to post the same bookmark twice from the same account at the same site.

Yeah - this is how it works.

For one bookmark I would go crazy.

When I get a new client I bookmark the main URL with 10 a day for about 10 days.

Make a "project" (you can use the same accounts for every project)
Within a project BMD will try and ensure that the same account is not used for the same bookmarking twicw.

Scritty:

What kind of emails are you using for POP3? Gmail? I assume you set it up individually and download emails to confirm accounts?

I'm curious about emails also. Looks like BMD is set up for gmail, but will aol or hotmail work?

...bought 200 emails accounts on this site (about 10 dollars)

Scritty

Guys, read above.

You can buy a couple hundred emails for ten bucks!

Although before I knew I could buy them for so cheap I just created a bunch of emails on one of my private domain and hosting accounts. Took 5 minutes to create around 30 new email addresses, and another 10 minutes to add them to BMD. A little tedious, I admit.

If you decide to create your own from your domain and hosting accounts, just take a note of:

Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) and Port Number
and, Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) and Port Number

and, of course, your email address and password!

Quicker than creating a bunch of gmail accounts, although I think you can just do something like username+1[at]gmaildotcom, username+2[at]gmaildotcom, etc. to create additional add-on mailboxes where all emails would just get forwarded to username[at]gmaildotcom.

I really don't understand how that works though, and I don't know how safe that would be using it for this requirement. (There's probably no risk at all, and it's probably really simple to understand how that works, I just don't really care to know! lol. ;))

All that being said, it might just be easier to buy email addresses! :p

Hotmail works just as well.

Use them within 3-5 days though!

Once the sign up is complete you don't need to worry about them again.

What do you mean by "Use them within 3-5 days though"?

Sorry - yes - good question.

If the account remains unused for too long it will be closed.

So sign up with it quite quickly.

It will fill up with all the confirmation emails etc, and be good for a long time to come.

I never use an email acocunt I have used for BMD for anything else.
After all, they are so cheap, and the process - although it takes quite a long time - requires very little input from the user (you can be doing something else on your PC - every 5 minutes get another sign up started when the last one finished)

Once you get a rhythm going, having 50-100 accounts on the top 20 or 30 sites is just a matter if a few seconds work every 5 minutes for a day or two.

Me? I often play Poker or get on with making some content while it's going on (or have the PS3 playing MLB2010 on my other screen) It really is very simple - just takes quite a while - but is quite "hands off" once you get going.

Not sure if it works... seems to bookmark but I don't see how search engines will find your bookmark if no one is subscribed to it....

I think you need to learn what a bookmark is (it's NOT a tweet or a facebook post for starters)
