Yes it is a good idea, but don't over-do it because seems like spam. But you can highlight few keywords.

Use the keywords as part of your subheading, h2 or h3(depending on the structure of the content).
To the users, it would have same/similar effect when compared to bolding but to Google bot, it would have a positive SEO difference. Now, this can be done in excess, so know what you're doing to not abuse it.

It's not mandatory for SEO optimization at this moment. Bolding and highlighting keywords in articles can help to make them stand out and draw readers' attention. But don't over do it ,because seems like spam.

OP, you could've bolded some text in your article and submitted to reindex. By this time you'd have an idea if google likes bold text or not.
Instead... even after 8 days, you still don't know if it's a good idea.

Bolding does not have any impact. But it is useful for grabbing reader attention.

It adds nothing to SEO, but it is an effective way to get noticed by attracting readers and keeping them engaged. Most readers retain what you highlight.
