Bodybuilders' Thread

What is your opinion on DAA supplements? (Opinions, experinces, etc. :))

I'm taking this http://bmr.me/portfolio/duzixon/ but not really feeling a thing anymore... And I'm worried about the discussions around the side effects of DAA.

Did I waste my precious money?

(been working out for yeas now, although my motivation has varied over the years... - I'm taking my recovery drinks, creatine, beta-alanine, my daily multis, omegas and some extra whey every now and then... And I'm following a high protein, low carb diet atm to get leaner as I gained some unnecessary fat during last winter)

What are the basic intakes that you need on a daily / weekly basis. I'm new to this, so I want to know the breakdown of it, which I couldn't find.

I know, which is what you mentioned in the private messages.

- whey protein
- creatine
- casein protein

What are the other basic supplements that people take? Such as vitamins for example (fish oil).

I don't suggest switching up routines, I follow each routine for 1 month. Then a change is necessary.
But one thing I def do is switching the days. I'd be 1 day on, 2 days off. Then 3 days on, 2 days off etc... Always shock your body.

Doing the p90x right now and I have seen more results in two weeks then I have seen in two years. I was already in good shape but I couldn't see any improvements as my body adapted.

Anyone that wants to get really ripped, switch up your routine greatly and confuse your body

I been a bodybuilder for almost 3 years now and switching up routines is good only if u got used to it and cant feel the sore anymore thats the time when u know u gotta hit it in different angle or add weight

I really don't find anything useful other than protein and creatine, maybe nitrix oxide. Amino Acids are good but they are found in most protein powders. I don't believe in these test-boosters. Trust me, unless going for the real test, you will not have noticeable gains.

Anyone have experiences with prohormones?

I know a fair bit, but I like knowing more progress logs / cycle they used.

That is all you will need, don't rely on supplements, you can have the vitamins and healthy fats from food and vegetables.

Yep, pretty much what I expected. Still gave that stuff a go, but perhaps I'll use the next 50 bucks to buy more protein powder! :)

I started 2 months ago to go to the gym, I take ON SuperMass proteins, ON Creatine and ONPerformaxx pills everyday. I gained around 8-9 kg in just two months. Optimum Nutrition is the best company for proteins and everything you need for bodybuilding.

Prohormones suck. You will see some gains but you will hurt your body a lot, and you may end up having bitch tits.
If you wanna go PRO then go for test. Don't do it on your own, there are many reputable forums out there that have the right way to do it. But you shouldn't even consider these unless you have been to the gym for 3 years, really reached your natural limits, and are at least 24 years old.

I don't really like the idea of taking anything personally. I just try to eat correctly and make to sure always take my protein. Before I started working out I weighed in at 150 I'm now at 170. In the winter I was at 185. but I always try to cut the fat in the summer.

WTH, I have been pro bodybuilding for years, but why on here ? goto the relevant forums, this is to do with SEO

Just to cut it short you can see the difference in bodybuilding forums and some of the stupid comments that has been put up here, these guys obviously has no idea.

I have heard mixed reviews of PH, I know p-mag is weak but a friend had fairly good gains on it. I know others who hammer SD Matrix none stop and get awesome gains. I also see other people in my gym why gyno, if they didn't do the cycle correct or not I don't know.

Thoughts an anavar?

Nice post but I'd like to point out that whole eggs are much better then egg whites

I do attack some steel for fun but really not bothered to be under strict eating regime. I'll never see my abs but I'm cool with that :)
