I am going to be testing out several different methods and link building that will work from April 2012 and onward.
Bobby, for the second banner company in your signature... what package would you recommend for a really competitive keyword - using the method you've outlined in this thread? (considering ALN is botched right now..)
I am trying your strategy with two different domain names, in two pretty high-competition niches at once... the auction domains have been purchased, everything has been done... just waiting on the next way to blast these bad boys before the 301 redirect is implemented....

I hope bobby is still available to answer 1 more question since I cannot read through 13 pages of comments. (i read through 6 pages and my eyes r bleeding)
So since ALN is untrusted at the moment, would I be able to use your method like this:
buy new domain -
buy aged domain -
add 1000 word article and sb blast till it indexes -
301 redirect to new domain -
add articles to new domain -
and then purchase some backlink packages to get it ranked?
I would like to avoid using ALN and I like buying backlink packages. if this is would work then I wanna start a new project.
last question - is there any timing issues? for example: i have a newly bought domain that is about 1 week old now. If i buy an aged domain and redirect it today, would that still work and please google?

Yes, you can do the steps above and it should work fine.
The key is to find backlinks that are powerful since ALN is not as effective.

I have tested this method on 5 domains and it all comes down to the backlinks you use. The other parts of the process may help slightly but the key is the backlinking.
At the moment the process is on stop for me, if you are looking to start this I would make sure you have a proven backlinking strategy that gets results otherwise you are wasting your time and effort.

Bummer. I have everything set up and ready to go... just need a good alternative to ALN to get this thing going.

Here's a question Bobby if my new site i am redirecting too is 2 months old with the 301 redirect still transfer the age?

Yes, if the 301 is older than the 2 months old site, but for a site that is over 30 days old, no 301 is needed.

Sorry bobby i must have phrased it wrong. My money site is about 70 days old and my aged domain is 11 years. If i redirect the aged domain will the age still transfer to my money site?

Yes, but it is not needed.
A site that is over 30 days old is considered aged with Google.

This is now out of date.... ALN is facked and so are most private network (and if they are not, they will be hit soon - so using private networks that are not really private will hurt you in the long term this year IMO).

Am I the only one who is still having success with ALN?
I don't even bother with any of the aged domain redirect stuff. Sometimes it doesn't work for whatever reason, but I don't dwell on it and just move on to a new site and rank that one. One site in particular is making a steady $50/day for me for the past two weeks. Don't give up on ALN just yet..

I'm in line with the rest of these guys for a revised second portion but no rush, keeping my fingers crossed but so far my sites have been ranking fine without the private blog networks.
