Blure check by instagram name

Instagram recently started verifying accounts on I.G just as twitter does. But I have also seen people with blue check marks by their name as well.....tried to insert the check mark onto my name via instagram and it would not allow it. It said "check marks are not allowed by name" as I see others with it. Can anyone help me out.

New to this site, and posting threads, but i know i will be on here a lot now. Please help!

The others with the blue check marks are the people verified by Instagram I believe.

I think the only way to get the blue check mark is by being a famous person or someone who has used their advertising platform before.
