Bluehost trying to **** me in the ***?

I used Bluehost quite some time ago, never had any problems like that. All though I never returned.. Guess that's saying something in itself.

Are you sure the price is for the domain renewal only? Never heard anything like that before and a lot of people are using BlueHost.

And yes, Namecheap ftw. Not the cheapest, but I am willing to pay for the price stability. These days everybody from GoDaddy to hosting companies are selling dirt cheap domains when you pay for two years or take up hosting, and this is exactly what happens. Pay for two years with GoDaddy, end up paying three years worth at Namecheap even though GoDaddy's first years was a coupon offer of .99$.

Another reason to bail on any hosting service/registrar owned by Endurance International Group for anything of any significance. They may be fine for some things but when it comes to a quality customer service experience there are too many factors missing.

That is really insane! I have seen hosting providers offer domains to be renewed for $15-20-30 but never for like $100+
