Suppose I start a song lyrics site. Whenever I add lyrics of a song , it is possible someone had already posted it on his site. This will cause duplicate content. How to avoid this ?
How ?well you could rewrite the song![]()
There is nothing much to do with the lyrics since we can't change them.Suppose I start a song lyrics site. Whenever I add lyrics of a song , it is possible someone had already posted it on his site. This will cause duplicate content. How to avoid this ?
This actually works.post them as image
I post specs right from the manufacturer page as text, regardless of that I still rank high. You don't have to screenshot it.This actually works.
I have seen blogs ranking with lots of screenshots of specs, features, etc directly from the sales/product page. Save you from copying content and giving great value to the customers. Keeping google algo and readers happy, a win-win situation.
Of course you cannot change the lyrics to make them unique, yet you can do a bunch of things to make your page more unique. First things that came to my mind are: add some original content (a decent paragraph) about the artist or the music genre the song is about, add structured data (dig into schema.org Thing > CreativeWork > MusicComposition and you'll find the right ones), give the users te possibility to add ugc, like ratings, comments, etc.Suppose I start a song lyrics site. When did you did this last time with a new site?I post specs right from the manufacturer page as text, regardless of that I still rank high. You don't have to screenshot it.
I do it every time. I don't build sites on fresh domains though, I always use strong domains with a history. However, I don't think duplicate content such as specifications matters at all. When did you did this last time with a new site?
