Blogger or Wordpress?

It's not an issue, WP is way above blogger/blogspot. I use blogger for link wheels and stuff like that but if you wanna accomplish something you should go WP. Also no reason to learn the ins and out of both, just go with WP. Not that its that much to learn abt. blogger anyway ;p
Once you're a bit more advanced you should host yourself. Then you can see the full WP power.

without host wp i can't see the wp full power in free wordpress blog?

Wordpress is better IMO, you gotta use it to see
 
I prefer self hosted wordpress - I believe free wp doesn't allow any affiliate links but blogger does and they now have some great new themes but still not as good as wp in my opinion.
 
WordPress for a self-hosted site! The number pf plugins and themes make it very powerful and for the most part stable.
 
Yep if you are going to get your own hosting wordpress is the best option
 
agreed. blogger has more simply sript using html code. wordpress have more lot of features anyway..
 
no brainer, Wordpress.

A self hosted wp site. Everything else pales in comparison.

Hostgator, it has cpanel with fantastico, so wp installation is super easy. I think they'll hook up a free domain too.
 
I'd start with blogger to get a feel for things. If you're like me, you won't succeed right away with your blog. You might also do 100 things at once and have your blog doing nothing. With a paid site, that's potential money wasted.

I've yet to make any money with blogger so I'm not going to buy a wordpress site when I don't even know how to monetize a blog.
 
blogger is good if you just want to do some satellite sites for link wheeling activities and such...

but your main money site should be wordpress. hands down just for the seo plugins and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

bottomline is wp is the most highly configured, used and analyzed blogging/cms platform right now and for the longest time. period.

that brings in more plugins and more online how-tos and support than anything else.

and running it is essentially a no-brainer.

blogger is good, but i hate the way it manages it's code. google for insert adsense code in blog posts and you'll see that you still need to convert your code into xml, etc. nightmare for anyone who want's free reign on the design aspects of his site.

and if you host in blogger then... you cannot call your site entirely your own. google can shut that down anytime so better make backups.

it's good for online journalling if you just want a quick and free blog to monitor your activities online...

if your talking free platforms then blogger is the best,you cant monetize a free wordpress blog,complete waste of time,as much as i dislike g00gle at least you can put your own ads on there.if you want your own domain then wordpress & siteground are doing 12 months hosting & a free domain but it costs about $40 to add more domains & the 2nd year is about $80 so you lose out in the long run
