Blog for a living.

If you are low on budget and do not have enough to pay writers and advertise anduse different promotional services, then it surely takes time to build blogs to that level where you can say you can make living of it
But on contrast general website which help people, or entertainment could grow more easily

100,000s of uniques a month is not always necessary although it certainly helps. It depends on your niche. If you actually look at Matthew Woodward's income reports you'll see that he makes a very good living from less than 40,000 uniques a month. Heck he was making well over $1k a month when he had just 5,000 uniques a month but then have you read his posts? They provide real value and thus when he comes to recommend a product with his affiliate link, his readers trust and believe in his recommendation and thus his conversion rates are probably through the roof.

So making a living out of a blog is not only about traffic, it is also about building relationships with your readers so that they trust you and are happy to make a purchase based on your recommendation - this goes whether you blog about IM, health, travel, whatever.

I have.. The main thing is persistence! Never take no for an answer. Reduce procrastination to 0 level. Self motivation and understand what "FAIL" really means= First attempt in Learning. After some time blogging became a part of me. I can't do without blogging. Making decent money off a blog will depend on how adept of a writer you are and whether you are willing to stick with it over the long haul. It helps if you focus on something you are passionate about.

It is very hard to stay focused and interested in an area if you do not have the passion for it. The best thing is for you to pick a niche where you are passionate about. Most of the successful bloggers do what they love to do and created materials and content that really helped people a lot. Now, if you do not care about such things, and just want to blog, I suggest you do research and prepare to do hard work.

that's 100% false... you can hire someone to write blog posts for you... you don't even have to know a lot about the subject.

a lot of people here make money by creating blogs and outsourcing most of the job.

everything is possible as long as you are willing to work hard enough.

There are quite a few blogger who make money with blogging.
At the same time it is all depends on how skillful you are.

what if the niche you're passionate about is not a profitable one?
If you have traffic it will be profitable. Advertisers pay money to be seen they just need a demographic.. If you have 20K men 18-30 on your site every day video games and sports companies may want to advertise with you, if you have 20k women every day 25-45 you will probably get different advertisers but you will get advertisers. You need traffic.

I've actually done this in the past with tech writing and saw moderate success by getting my blog on Google News with several different SEO tactics to gain money from adsense. I ended up getting hit by a Google update which tanked my income and working for little to no income on a blog I had been making decent money on made me lose interest very quickly.

Now, although I feel confident in my ability to start a successful blog, the thought of doing something like that with no idea when I would start to gain profit is daunting and keeps me uninterested.

If you decide to give this pursuit a thought, feel free to ask for information and I will share what I can based off my experiences.

That's why most bloggers don't make it. Staying interested in one idea in this age is very hard.

Just try to start a good blog and drive traffic into it. You will get what you wish.

dude there are many people out there who's living comes from blogging.and secret is hard work and hard work.

Most people dont earn from blogging because they lack patience. It takes quite some time for a blog to actualy start generating money and you have the be patient. If you want to earn cash upfront, it is better to opt for other freelance techniques. Blogging is like starting a business, first you have to invent effort, time and energy.. then after a year you can pray to reap the fruits of your hardwork.

Yeap. Still blog on fire to take earn money make from Adsense and Banners.

But always is content is king only.
