Hi

For my money site, I want it to last years.

Its an authority site.

Should I be building blog comments every day or will that been seen as spammy?

I do not see any of my competitors building blog comments anymore when I check in ahrefs.....

Blog comments fall in Spam, but they are good for tier 1 backlinks.

So they are ok if the URL section is pointing to my money site?

This will all be done manual by the way

Personally, I wouldn't point any blog comments to my money site, point them to other backlinks that either point to other backlinks, or to your money site.

Dear,
Blog Comments do not consider spam if they are done manually. Moreover, blog comments should need to be posted on relevant high authority sites to boost your Page ranking.

You are wrong Blog comments consider as spam on High OBL pages and on non moderated blogs. If you comments on blogs where comments required approval they are good for seo and traffic.

I tend to stay away from blog comments especially if you want the project to be long term.
Most sites will give you sitewide backlinks when you post a comment and i tend to believe Google doesn't like this.
Comment on sites using disqus. They are safer and you wont find your comment beside a viagra comment.

Isn't page rank dead these days?

As long as you are manually making quality comments, blog comments are fine. I wouldn't use them for keyword specific anchor text though. Filling in your url in the website field is good enough. Just make sure that you are commenting on good sites. Don't comment on spammy sites and you should be fine. These help diversify your sites link profile.

Some blog commenting websites do not allow others to comment themselves with their money site so better you should filter all those sites which accept money site with comments.

I'm sure that if you built comments you must be careful with anchor text. You must write comments with good experts text. I recommend you to use not only active links. You can use brand mentions, brand citations.
If you PM me I'll recommend you one good services that could help you in building natural links from blog comments, forums, Q/A sites, social media.

Cheers

Making blog comments with intentions to improve SEO is not white hat. It doesn't work well either. You're wasting your time.

Blog comments have given me some of the best converting referral traffic, but strictly from an SEO standpoint they have not done much. I find they are a great way to siphon traffic from competitors.

Thanks for that, having read an IM journey recently one of the authors suggesting building links through commenting on niche relevant websites and blog with low OBL is likely to have a positive influence.

most of the blog comments now adays have more than 1000 OBL so basically its being used by seo link builders for promoting and juicing up their tier 1/tier 2
if you want to do some blog comment be sure your visiting a real BLOG SITE that does have moderation interms of approvals and so on. basically this means that the webmaster only allows certain type of blog comments that are highly relevant and useful to their site.

Blog commenting is not spammy if you put your comment carefully. Always put your comment manually. Comment should be fully informative. Put your comment on a site if site is niche with you. I think then it might not be spammy

It's good as long as you don't post useless comments and of course, do not overdo it.

If you are going to do manual blog comments thn it will not consider as spam. Always use right content and keyword so its will help you build some traffic .

A few blog comments on low OBL pages wont hurt.

Blog commenting on niche blogs will not consider as spam but it needs to be quality comment otherwise blog owner will not approve it, read the complete article it will pay you for both side one it will increase your knowledge and second it will be easier for you to make a quality comment.
