Blasting kindle book with backlinks. Any possible downsides? Has anyone done this?

I had the same idea; I honestly didn't try it so far, but I'm thinking of testing the waters with some fiverr gigs for a book I don't care about and see what happens. In theory, it should work (if you blast it right) and the worst case scenario I can think of is having that page sandboxed (but FYI there are two links for amazon books).

At the same time, what I think is that you can create a mini-site (or use the goodreads book page) and blast the hell out of it and see what changes in serps. If you do it before I do, please let me know as I'm curious as well
