Blackhatworld appears to be more white hat now

Blackhat, whitehat, greyhat ... BHW is a unique forum in terms of how it is managed and also the resources here and also how one could contribute here. It is unique in a positive way. As far as members go, it is like in the real world, we could bump into the good, the bad, the ugly .... Take the most knowledge you can get from BHW and if you wish to, then also contribute as much as you can.

You don't seem like you have ever been much of a contributing member but you sure a critique.

Been reading through some posts on the forum lately, and 2 things stand out.

When a newbie comes on the forum, and has a go at something, a lot of the long standing members shall we say, seem to criticise in a harsh way, and ridicule them. Never used to be this way when I first joined.

2nd, blackhatworld, again with the long standing members, seem critical of blackhat methods, and I don't know if they realise this, but when they suggest things on how to rank, they more or less suggest white hat ways of ranking.

Could it be that Google now has its way, and turned these once go-getters into armchair whitehats?? After all, this is blackhat world, not white!!
Yes, because of the name domino I thought it would be very blackhat but it really looks more like blackwhite

Blackhat =/= hacker(phishing, botnets, malware, script injection)

The truth is, BHW is more in greyhat area.

I liked BlackHatWorld years ago, I like BlackHatWorld today. We are adapting well with the times.

If we check any dictionary for the meaning or definition of "blackhat", it would say : "a computer hacker who carries out illegal malicious hacking work".
Whereas we all know that here at BlackHatWorld (dot com), such hacking, illegal work is against the rules and not at all tolerated.
See, there are many words which upto the 70's or 80's meant just one particular thing. Like upto 70's or 80's the word "guru" only meant a Hindu spiritual teacher. However from the 90's the scope and meaning of the word "guru" evolved and changed and now refers to an influential teacher or popular expert.
In the same way many other words or terms have actually in reality evolved and changed, but (unlike the word "guru"), the official definitions of these words have not yet changed and one such word is "blackhat".
So, as per reality, the word "blackhat" has now evolved and changed in the way it is used especially in the internet marketing world, where as the dictionaries still limit it to something bad or negative.
On another note, many of us also feel that what is being taught likewise in the curriculums in schools and colleges, is actually outdated and in certain cases wrong as far as today is concerned and may have been right or correct upto the 70's or 80's.
What the educational systems all around the world have not yet understood and hence not yet adapted, is that they must aim now to produce people with skills, rather that people with mere knowledge. Upto 70's, 80's we needed schools and colleges to gain knowledge, but it is no longer so. Knowledge is important, but skills to utilize knowledge is what matters these days. Why ? Because upto 70's, 80's skills required were various standard skills and no upgradation of those skills was even applicable.
However, from the 90's onwards new "un-thought of" technologies started happening and now keeps happening at a very fast pace and newer skills and skill sets on an ongoing non-stop basis, are now applicable to almost all industries.
So, even now, what a student is learning in a school or college may be somewhat oudated by the time the student passes school or college and when it comes to the time that person is looking for a job, the companies are looking for some specific skills which the person does not have.
Hence, ALONG with knowledge, some latest skills too must be implented into the educational systems. Atleast some skills that are relevant to the knowledge being imparted.
Due to the aspects I have mentioned above, the reality nowadays is that many startups do not bother about any college or university degrees : they require people with various specific skillsets, and these startups are quite fine if a candidate does not have a degree, but aquired his or her knowledge AND skillsets outside of the formal education system or structure.
We will in a few years reach the point where degrees will be required ONLY for certain professions, such as medical doctor, pharmacist, lab technician, auditor who audits & officially signs company accounts, etc, etc and for the rest such as marketing, sales, human resources, etc, etc and in many cases even production, having a degree will not be much of a benefit.

I might agree with you, in parts. But that's because white hat is now an essential part of a strategy for steady income. However we're still deep black hat in terms of links. @Alma for example has a very nice approach to PAA's and is getting nice results, all with "auto-blogging". This forum is a great merge of strategies both white and black hat and that's why we love it.

Only $29, dear. For method to make a million a month.
Thanks professor, will you refund me if i made 999,999 a month, i have 8 cats, a fish and two rabbits to feed and that $29 is much much money .
