    Hi

Just need inputs of bhw members

Q1 Is it unethical to practice BlackHatSEO (Profile Links, Bookmarks, Blogcomments, Sape, Paid Links and anything against google TOS) ?

Q2 If we rank no.1 for the targetted keyword doing BlackHatSEO ... and the other person trying to rank for the same keyword doing WhiteHatSEO ... Isnt it unfair ?

I hope to get good remarks from bhw members

    Thanks

I make money. I'm not hurting people nor forcing them to buy/provide info. They do if they want to, they can always go back and check out other sites and info.
Only type of links that I find unethical are SAPE because those could easily be hacked links. Hacking into someones website and then sell links there... but I'm using them so lol

Unfair? It's not. The whole world is unfair then. Everyone who does better than you actually. Unfair? No. They are just smarter/better and that's it. Same thing happens in SEO. I see people ranking with bullshit links and thousands and then I come in, post a few PBN links, some social bookmarks, some contextual and bam, I rank with 96.7% links and my site don't get hit when Google throws an update.

In my opinion the goal of black hat and white hat is the same. More traffic to whatever you are selling. So ethics is not issue in how are you getting traffic but what are you selling. You can promote damaging product and various scams using white hat methods. The point is that you should worry more about what are you selling and how does it affect your customer, because that way it doesnt matter how did they found you, since everyone will be happy. Customer will get what it wants and so will you. My two cents.

I wouldn't call it unethical per se'. It's less sustainable than white hat SEO for sure. When people rank sites using white hat techniques, they're thinking about the long term. They could be ranking the site to make it some money and then sell it as an asset later on. They could be a legitimate business looking for long term leads. It could be anything in that sense.

Black hat SEO, on the other hand is more for quick cash. It's churn and burn in a sense. You're trying to rank for something that you know can make you money but it's not going to last you more than a couple of weeks, or months if you're lucky.

In my honest opinion, Google shouldn't really be a business that you should be following 100%. I see people following all of Google's terms and conditions and making sure that they don't get on the wrong side of them in case they get a penalty.

Google doesn't care about you. If you're not making them money, you're of no concern to them. It's the main corportations out there that Google cares about. These guys dish out thousands of dollars every day on Google which provides their bulk of revenue. People like you and me though, we aren't seen as special in their eyes.

Think about it, Google could kill your business overnight. You could be doing white hat SEO for a couple of months and see rankings, but once the update hits, your $100 a day business is now earning $5 - $10 per day if you're lucky.

That's why I prefer the black hat route. You're playing by your own rules and making money as quickly as you can.

The best way to utilize black hat SEO is to rank for an affiliate product that gives recurring monthly revenue. If you rank for 7 days for an affiliate product that costs $47 per month and you managed to get 200 people to buy the product in that time frame, you're looking at just under $10k a month from a simple black hat SEO ranking technique.

    Hope that helps.

Subjective & Grey area, like that all businesses are white as well? Nope, don't think so.. the answer is pretty self-explanatory.

Let's hope your doubts are cleared up else steer clear from this line.

I tried for years to play nice and rank with "white hat". I had minimal success. Only after starting to use black hat methods did I see some results. Also, if you create quality, something people enjoy, what's so unethical about outranking someone who uses black hat methods to promote trash?

Black hat SEO is neither moral or immoral, it's amoral. I've never understood why so many people try to "moralize" SEO of any kind.

Although Google may prefer that Blackhat tactics not be used, the rules of competition are based on the environment the game is played, and they still haven't created an environment where strictly white hat SEO works (without a massive budget, that is). They own the playing field, and while I have the ability to play the game as I want, they have the right to penalize me if they so choose. Many people just don't want to expose themselves to penalties and would rather disguise their fear with the appearance of moral superiority.

My moral compass is rather simple. If I'm not hurting anyone, then all'sgood. If someone else were to feel slighted for not ranking as highly as I am (via blackhat methods), I'd gladly remind them that I'm not doing anything that they couldn't be doing.

I cloak ad networks and make good money - it's blackhat - not that illegal.

But at the end, I am make money. I've seen people who consider this unethical and they'll never do it.

But if I don't do it, then someone else will.

Ultimately, I don't find it funny to do blackhat. I do it because it helps me make crazy money.

If I am getting paid $10,000 to do whitehat work and $5,000 to do blackhat work.

Then I'll pickup whitehat for two reasons:

    1. Makes me feel good
    2. Helps me make money.

But presently, whitehat is competitive and returns are LOWER.

So, I am compelled to do blackhat stuff :(

But when you consider the kind of money I am making, you'll find that I am not doing that BAD :p

Err, you have answered your question already :p

Why is so? If Roger Federer won the last Wimbledon, does that make him the winner of the next one? Competition guarantees a healthy market, anyday. Blackhat/Whitehat.. all are methods. Result should matter ( unless Federer is on steroid :p)

You joining BHW, ethical or unethical ?

This is a question if you ask yourself. Karma is a bitch. So know what is ethical / unethical for oneself. I am no authority to give you suggestions as to what is ethical / unethical for you. What is think right may be wrong to you.
