Black Hat World Newsletter
December 4th, 2024
Hello BHW,December 4th, 2024
This week's top thread discussions feature a variety of topics. One notable thread outlines a method to profit from purchasing aged domains with high CPC keywords and monetising them through domain parking services like Bodis or Sedo. We also have another thread that discusses strategies for optimising Instagram traffic whilst focusing on user relationships and post relevancy.
On the lighter side of things, we have other threads posted this week which include a fun game to identify AI-generated images and advice on creating a Solana memecoin during a crypto boom.
So grab a seat, sit back, relax, and let's get into this.
Top Threads of the Week
Discussion topics from the community...
1. Easy Parked Domain(s) Money Method (Slight Risk Involved)
This guide, written by Jr. VIP @Waddup, goes over a method to earn income by purchasing and monetising aged domain names through domain parking services.
The process involves finding domains with high-cost-per-click (CPC) keywords from marketplaces like Namecheap or SAV.com. For those of you who don't know, aged domains are preferred due to their "credibility", at least as far as Google's algorithm is considered.
Once purchased, these domains are parked with services like Bodis or Sedo, where they can generate revenue through advertisements linked to the domain’s keyword focus.
2. Happy Thanksgiving 2024!
Administrator @PetraAnn wished the BHW community a Happy Thanksgiving.
3. How to Generate Organic Traffic in Instagram
Jr. VIP @Ikari Shinji wrote a thread about strategies to optimise Instagram traffic and bypass challenges, such as bans, when managing multiple accounts.
In the the thread, they also explain the workings of Instagram's recommendation feed whilst highlighting three essential factors: the user relationship, expressed interests, and post relevancy.
4. Backlinks vs No-Backlinks case study of similar sites
Jr. VIP @xpesos created a thread going over an experiment comparing the performance of two Dutch (.nl) celebrity niche websites with 100 posts each.
In the experiment, one site used backlinks and the other did not. The website that was using backlinks demonstrated nearly four times the traffic of the one without.
To summarise, the strategy involved acquiring high Domain Authority (DA) expired .nl domains through tools like Spamzilla, essentially capitalising on the lack of competition in the local TLD market.
5. [Guide] How To Enhance Your Written Content Using ChatGPT
Administrator @Zwielicht wrote a guide this week that goes over a strategy for using ChatGPT to write articles effectively, particularly for building websites for clients.
The highlight of this article is on maintaining authenticity, with methods to humanise AI content to avoid detection as AI-generated.
6. How good are you at spotting an AI image?
Administrator @Impulse started a lounge thread about a game where users attempt to discern whether an image is AI-generated or real.
This game has two difficulty levels: one for AI image generators from early 2024 and a more challenging test based on advancements as of October 2024. Impulse mentions they achieved a low score on the newer version, finding it significantly harder than the earlier one, and asks others to share their experiences with the game.
7. How to make a Solana memecoin (Guide)
Junior Member @balaklava created a comprehensive guide about launching a memecoin on the Solana blockchain during the crypto bull market.
In this guide, he offers advice on project ideation, planning, launching, and post-launch steps, whilst stressing the importance of staying in tune with internet trends, targeting key dates, and being creative with meme concepts.
8. How addicted are you?
Up next, we have a short thread by Executive VIP @xReminisce showing how often they visit BHW.
9. Open AI is considering creating its own browser
In this thread started by Executive VIP @RoiBox, OpenAI is apparently working on a browser prototype that integrates closely with its ChatGPT tool. To put it one way, this move would directly challenge Google's dominance in the browser and search sectors, especially as Google might be compelled to sell Chrome.
10. [Help] Free Tool - Metrics
To end the newsletter this week, we have a thread by Newbie Member @oSpectral about a metric called "Histats," a tool for real-time website traffic monitoring.
The main selling point of this metric is its immediate visibility of indicators upon integration, without delays in data display.
If this is something you've been looking for, then we definitely recommend checking this thread out.
