Hello I am brand brand new into these things with SEO and firstly I want to ask what's the difference between BlackHat SEO and WhiteHat SEO I know there might be a thread for this but I couldn't find it. I will have a lot more questions but I will post them in other topics hopefully I will find people to help me. :) Thanks in advance

what is WH??? who cares.........

welcome to black hat world^^^^

Welcome to bhw,

On the left there is a forum for blackhat and whitehat, read through them, alot. In basic terms BH uses techniques google doesn't like because it gets results done right, the use of automated tools etc.Whitehat also uses techniques that google doesn't like(all links should be real,so whitehat doesn't really exist anyway) very slow process that can get results but like BH can get hit anytime in serps.....

No need to post as every newbie question will have been answered a 100x times here already it is a case of searching for what you want to know.I suggest spending a few days reading all the posts so you get the difference between the 2.

Yes, you should read some basic before shooting your questions!

Blackhatworld is best to learn SEO!

Keep Rocking!

All right I will have a search to find out the difference before I come with more questions probably will find some information. Thanks for the quick replies and see you around I see there are nice peoples here so I will work and in the same time have fun :D

Whitehat = SEO techniques within the the confines of the Google Webmaster guidelines
Blackhat = Everything Else

White Hat costs more money and is used by idiots believing big businesses don't touch Black Hat. Black Hat is every dirty psychological trick necessary in order to make a sale.

This is the way I like to think of it.

Whitehat: coming here and posting a thread like this
Blackhat: Using the search bar to find your answer

One makes a lot more sense then the other :)

Whitehat: Legit hard way to achieve anything.
Blackhat: Semi-legit way but not Illegal and much easier than whitehat.

I saw Greyhat somewhere...What in the world does that one mean?

Greyhat is the mixture of the above.

Well in my opinion there is no such thing.

As soon as you build a single link of any nature you violate google webmaster guidelines.

So its all black hat - and if your going to break the rules, do it properly.

Nice comments guys! this makes me so excited applying blackhat SEO for my sites.. bring it on! :D

I have a strange feeling you will be back in 1 month with a thread something like.. "OMG google slapped my site.. wtf please help". Easy with the black hat.. Learn about the risks as well as the benefits, and especially learn how to avoid those risks.

If u have an affiliate shitty site then Black-hat is your way but if u have a legit business, where your living is dependent then its bad to bad blackhat.
Whitehat SEO - To make your site better than others. To not buy any link. To make links those send you traffic.
Blackhat - Services u can see in BST.
between ur question really need too much explanation!

Every optimization technique violates Google's Webmaster guidelines, as those guidelines are (currently) about natural looking content, link development and naturally earned authority. SEO is a means of artificially improving a site's ranking through optimizing the keyword placement, back link profile et al in ways that would never happen naturally.

"White hat," IAW, has always been black hat from the point of view of it not being natural. The main difference nowadays is black hat is more open about gaming the SERP, and about using bots or other automation tools to improve rankings.

Please Search On the Forum before asking these type of questions "there is already a lot of stuff here. there is no black hat or white hat these days! There are 2 things (SPAM or Quality) That's it

This is incorrect. Optimizing your web page to help the Googlebot determine that your site is relevant and should be ranked in their search engine through the use of proper headers, page title, nagivation, description etc... does not violate Google's guidelines. Neither does having a facebook or twitter page that links back to your site, or contributing to other blogs. Please see...

Loading up GSA, Ultimate Demon, or SENuke and blasting out content to get as many links as possible is DEFINITELY a no-no in the Google playbook.
