I've never attempted any blackhat seo. How's it working for you, and will Google sentence you to 50 lashes if they detect it?

Pretty broad question, but I think anyone that exercises caution, makes a plan, and sticks to it is fine. However if the first thing you do is buy Xrumer and set it free on your money site, you might learn some things the hard way

it is working pretty well for most of us on this forum
ofcourse you need to do a lot of research upfront and do it wisely, otherwise you can easily get delisted
I'd better not touch it then. I'm flat out understanding the white hat stuff.

Make a test: create 1 pager and buy the same blast for $5 on fiverr.
Doubtfully Matt is going to refund that one, but for only $5 you'll learn a lot.

People get to hung up on the color of a hat when basically all blackhat seo really is just an advanced form of white hat standard SEO.
Once you learn the basics of SEO and are ready to take it up a notch you go blackhat.
