Come on then, you guys on here must know Bitcoin... scam or worth a punt? Seeing as there are only 21M coins out there some people talk about it hitting £M's in the future.

Think I've a hard drive with some on it in the loft from about 5 years ago... perhaps I should go dig it out?

Yes to retrieving your existing coins. My question to you is... why would you want to accrue new ones?

Bitcoin is not always easy to liquidate into cash in large sums. I would never hold more than 5k USD in it.

Check the current price and see if it is worth the effort to dig out the ood hard drive.

So that's not complicated at all!

the only question you should be asking yourself, is this...

can you afford to loose the money ?

if yes, go ahead.. if not, i wouldn't gamble tbh.

i myself have recently dealt with my own issues around bitcoin... it's all gravy when the value is goin up but soon as it starts dropping, you really start questioning yourself as to weather this is a game you want to be involved in..

if you need the money, i personally wouldn't invest in this market, as the bitcoin market is very, very VERY volatile.
