Bitcoin Drops Nearly 20%

In bitcoin's case what makes it likely to rebound? buying on bad news is a smart investment if the negative news is either overblown or the company is likely to rebound.

Everything about Bitcoin is stupid as shit. Take your Bitcoins, cash out, buy gold, have it fashioned into a nice dildo, then go fuck yourself.

Disclaimer: This is not directed to anyone in this thread, but rather the concept of Bitcoin in general.

Gold and Silver are the best investments, if you get a cash for gold/silver business you can get them at 25% to 33% of the value. And then you can either hold or you can make jewelery. Sterling Silver(92.5% purity)you can get for as low $.145 per gram now, and when you make jewelery from it such as a ring you can sell it between $10 and $12 per gram of its weight.

I call it "conservation of value".
The total value is spread between different assets (including Bitcoin).
When one asset's value decreases other assets increase in value.

For example:

- gold price goes down Bitcoin goes up
- alt-coin dies Bitcoin goes up
- oil price goes down Bitcoin goes up
- etc

The balance is global, and oil price doesnt affect only Bitcoin, but rather the entire market. However, Bitcoin receives its share. The reverse is true as well.
Basically when an investor realizes that he is going to lose his money on a given asset, he starts searching for alternatives. Sometimes he finds Bitcoin.

Thinking an financial instrument will go always up

"Wannabe Investors"

Seriously guys, if you want to gamble with trading,at least do it with stocks, at the end of the day you will own a piece of a company at least.

Clearly a bad investment... Seriously people, why do you talk about things you have no clue about.

I said it never went back to its $1400 levels. Where did I say it was a bad investment? I said I don't see it as an investment.

Now settle your hormones.

Buying Bitcoin is not an investment. It's speculation. For those of you who don't know the difference deserve to suffer the consequences.

Bitcoin is fine.

The implementations are horrible. MtGox was started by a guy who was asking basic PHP language questions just weeks earlier....he implemented some half assed system and months later it's the world's #1 BTC exchange. Also the way the whole process went it seems there was more to it than just bad programming.

99% of the issues with BTC have been due to poor software or thieves. BTC is not the problem, the sites surrounding it are piss poor and/or scammy.

Yes Bitcoin wasn't a real investment anyway. A lot of people will start losing their hard earned money really quickly.

I know there's the stock exchange, and I know that the value of currency fluctuates..

But banks can't get hacked and remove 20% of the value lol

Even so, if you're doing something and you don't want to get caught, BitCoins are still the way to go.
