No Gov. Wants to lose their control over money .
Bitcoin was originally created in order to get rid of centrally controlled traditional money system. Gov. didn't find any way to get any control over bitcoin transactions.

So, Gov. made it illegal but that didn't help the popularity of bitcoin in black markets which rapidly spread to common citizens. Gov. has to come up with a master plan before bitcoin takes over the tradition money.

Bitcoin has a limit that is 21 million up to which it can be mined. Gov's masterplan is to let some popular companies get involved with bitcoins that will uplift the value of bitcoin ( In less than 2 months bitcoin reached from 2000$ to 10000$ ).
Now more and more people will stock bitcoins.
At some peak these Gov. Controlled companies will pull their hands up or will go bankrupt and dissolve with showing any internal crisis . The value of bitcoin will fall unexpectedly .
And all your money you invested in bitcoin will now belong to Gov. and your bitcoin will be worthless. Plus people will fear to trust cryptocurriencies again .

Thats the only way bitcoin can lose .
Powerful people in Gov. are shape shifting reptiles.
You're welcome to add if you think there is more to the story .

Thanks for reading !

There is a reason experts ask ppl to invest the money which they are comfortable losing. If u remove the tangible assets involved, BTC & Crypto is no different from the Stock markets. People lose money on stock markets too. But did the markets stop? No rite.

It took more than that, BTC was around $2k in July last time and reached $10k a week ago, that's minimum 4 months. At least get the facts straight.

They're pretty fond themselves for generating money out of nothing so i doubt they would ever do anything

In my opinion...no doubt bitcoin was created with the intention of a curency with no centralisation of power..but when big fish enters the market..they somehow controls everything...lets take example of mining..till few years back..small individual like u n me can mine bitcoin but now big software firms have set up their own farms thus making individual mining useless

Same thing goes with price fluctuation..i am 100% sure that this big jump in prices is not bcz common people have started buying bitcoin but bcz big fish are now planning to make quick money..

This is a big red glag for me to avoid atleast bitcoin for sometime and let the dust settle

I think is a failed experiment by bitcoin's creator.

Hopefully it will end with me having lots of money.

The fact that the person(s) behind bitcoin never revealed themselves has always been a bit suspicious. However, if you follow the strategy below you should be fairly safe:

1. Buy bitcoin with money that you can afford to lose

2. As the price rises, cash out your original investment (with a little profit)

3. Let the rest grow, but keep cashing out a little at a time

The lounge is becoming cluttered with BTC discussions, so I'm moving the more serious discussions to the cryptocurrency forum.

nice analytics, for me. If bitcoin become virtual gold in the future its value about $200k and if not it will be 0 value. But to be honestly i can not find any reason for it going back to 0 value.

If bitcoin ever were to crash just remember their are so many more other cryptocurrencies that could replace it. For example Monero is a good alternative and is much more anonomious than bitcoin. Blockchain technology wouldnt end if the government were to do what you said.
