Bitch Slapped by Google?

After reading this I'm wondering if my new site (three weeks old) got slapped, too. It happened over the weekend. My site was moving up (according to Rank Checker) and was at 111 then it dropped and now it's not even listed in the top 200. My guess is it happened when I had 2500 backlinks sent to my money site on Saturday.

This is my first website, ever, and it's a bit discouraging to see this happen. Up until Saturday I was building web 2.0 sites manually and pointing them to my money site. Now that I think about it, I should have sent the 2500 backlinks to the web 2.0 sites. D'oh!!!!!!! Stupid noob!!!!

Forgot to mention that for a couple of my long tail keywords I'm still ranking so I'm not sure what is happening. For example, the keywords "get [product name] review" is at 43 on Google while the keywords "buy [product name]" is at 181. My initial keywords were "[product name] reviews" and it reached 111 before it started to tumble. So have I been slapped or do I simply need to get back to building web 2.0 sites and backlinking slowly? When I go to Google and type in my site name it appears in the number one position.

Ok, just read about this thing called the "honeymoon effect" on Google where new sites are ranked and then they suddenly drop off. Wondering if that's what happened to my site and not the slap. Any thoughts? Thanks

Were you getting any traffic at position 111?

If you were in a honeymoon, you should been on the first or second page...

Hey just read this whole thread. Any update on your website? My site is 16 days in the dance/sandbox and its only occassionally getting some longtail traffic..

The site is slowly recovering from the penalty, nothing really to report at the moment, some of my longtail keywords have regained their rankings, but the short tails are about half way back, but not good enough to generate any real traffic...

Tomorrow will be 60 days since the penalty. Hopefully, I only have another 30 days of this crap, but my worst fear is that my site will be stuck in this for up to six months.

The biggest thing I have been doing is building links with anything but my main keyword in it, lots of naked urls, "click here" "visit site", etc...

here is the latest mat cutts video

[video=youtube_share;2oPj5_9WxpA]http://youtu.be/2oPj5_9WxpA[/video]

mat talks a lot about spam in this video so it seems google is super focused on killing spam, they can't kill it entirely, but we need to adapt...

how do you adapt? one thing i have been doing over the last 60 days is to turn my site into an extreme authority site, i always wanted to do this, but since the penalty the time frame and my execution has increased 1,000%...

i have been adding up to 30-50 blog posts per day on our site to increase the number of indexed pages, over the next month, i hope to triple the number of indexed pages that we offer...the google bot is on my site a number of times per day and my blog posts get indexed within a few minutes, at the most...(i do not do anything to get these posts indexed, google loves my blog and they index the pages automatically)

one thing i have noticed is that a number of the sites in front of mine has over 15,000 indexed pages, to compete with this, it will take me a year or more to catch up with my competitors...so, as you can see at this point, my seo strategy has moved from a few months time frame to over a year or so to catch up...

can i do it? i don't know, but i am motivated to try so we will see what happens...

No traffic. Just checked Rank Checker and I'm at 163 so it's probably just doing the Google dance. I hate being a noob at this but gotta start somewhere.

Damn!! OOOKKK! My site jumped from being in the 300 and 400s to being 32, 52, and 58 for my top 3 keywords. Lets see how long this last LOL! That's higher then I was when they b*tch slapped me LOL. Hope its stays. But Google has been all over the place lately so I'm not going to get to excited just yet.

PS. The changes I made recently was on 4/19 I replaced all my articles (10) on my website with Original articles 100% Copyscape passed. Plus I did a High on Page PR Scapebox Blast to about 3000 URLS. And another 60K Auto Approve blast. All to my Forum Profiles, Web 2.0 and Articles. None to my money site. I didn't ping them or anything else. I haven't been doing any other backlinking aside from my Dripable account as of mid March.

I think this kind of penalty takes about 90 days max. I too receive the Unnatural links penalty and I have been doing all sort of anchor text variation to neutralise the penalty, but only time will tells.

Our site got totally slapped by google! This Panda doesn't even like just great content anymore. Its got to just be awesome in general, like an HBO tv show.

Yeah, panda 3.3 and 3.4 has been pretty viscious...

Also, I have found that adding new content to your site also helps, its not a cure all, but it does help some...

I am curious what will happen to my site on/or around May 17th as that day will make approximately 90 days since penalty...

I got in trouble by big g by blog commenting gigs...

I was slapped for 3 weeks then I changed the content of my site dramatically and increased the keyword density of the website. After two days my site was higher than before.

Same Here Jrpowell. I put all unique content on my site and it jumped like 400 spots to #24 and #58 positions. I got slapped about 60 days ago. So this is promising.
