Bitch Slapped by Google?

Hi guys!

I started social bookmarking, google+-ing, and tweeting again as i have seen a very miniscule but positive movement in my serps.

a keyword from my new post dropped from 60 - 64
while one of the pages rose from 100+ to 50+

I hope that we can all recover in a month. :)

im trying to go social as well and testing multiple factors for one of my $ sites. The other sites in my network are fine as of now though.
 
when you get slapped by google, the best rhing is to fix your onsite seo (which you did) and keep building backlinks. if you want recover quickly, i suggest that you look up my panda knockout service in the service section

I'm starting to see some bounce back in a few of my keywords. I track 147 keyword phrases so to see a few start to bounce back is encouraging, but not exactly thrilling...

I am recognizing a bottom in my rankings and some minor positive movement in other keyword phrases, nothing thrilling again...

I am continuing to add blog posts and I have started a very aggressive campaign to link to my past blog posts.

I think time will heel this google bitch slap and if it takes a month, I am ready to endure...

Sorry to hear about this, I feel i'm in the same situation.
Website is 3 years old and was ranking on first page for most my keywords, suddenly they are nowhere to be found, all gone!
It happened end of January.
Around the same time i noticed a blog network i posted on got de-indexed, shortly before this i also did a SB blast to money site, not only homepage but also deeplinks, mixing anchors like click here, website, link. ~4000 approved comments.

I've read you don't always get a message in GWMT if there is a problem.
If you Google this, it returns lots of results:

"Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site that could be intended to manipulate PageRank."

I'm going to do the same approach and build quality links and see if site can recover. Thanks for starting this thread manny521. Hope you and others in same situation regain rankings.
 
I had a very similar experience about a month ago.

I was ranking pretty well on the 1st page for some good keywords, probably 50 or so, and they all dropped about 30 positions or so.

I don't do too much link building.
Mostly private networks that offer good quality and some in content links.

I will keep you posted on if comes back.

Is there a page on this site that lists all of the different type of link building you should do, and in the order of importance?
That would be a cool thing to have.

Sorry that happened to you guys. Same thing happened to me earlier this month its good to know its not just me this is happening to. I believe what we are going through is referred to as "the google rape."

Hi everyone i got bonned to today, today before 10 hours from now i was on a 2 place for a low competition kw with a 70k exact searches monthly and third for a low competition kw with a 200k searches mothly exact.

Now i am on 9th place for the first kw and 22th place for the second one, how the fuck this happend, i used link pushing + some of my linkwheels + scrapebox + twitter, facebook and other shit.

The intereasting thing is that the 1st kw is visible on a higher place cause its on a today installed blog like hxxp://website.com/blog what the f..k, the second keyword is placed on the hxxp://website.com so if there are some seo experts i would really appreciate the help.
 
Same boat...I was on 2nd page for some high competition keywords now most of them dropped to 12th page+.

I have unique 500-1000 words articles all of over the site. Of the 30 keywords I track, they all dropped at the exact same time anywhere from 150 to 500 spots. As of right now they have recovered to 60-150. I use excellent anchor and backlink diversification, the two most linked texts according to webmaster tools are my URL and "reviews", followed by my primary keywords. I've backlinked 100+ inner pages on the site.

Backlinks were from EDU, GOV, Wikis, Social Bookmarking, Blog Comments, Homepage links, Linkpushing, senuke, 10+ blog networks. No freaking clue what's going on. Happened around Feb 1st, so praying it's just a dance.
 
I don't think it's just a dance. My site was frigging 8 years old. Google is getting smarter (or dumber?) Now really shitty sites are outranking me. And I mean shitty blogs written by people who have no idea what they're talking about.
 
Let's all just be happy that Google doesn't get extreme on us. If they really wanted to, they could change the game completely. Why they don't is a completely different debate altogether. I can think of 50 ways they could adjust their algo, and it would wipe out 90% of us.

Fact is, if you are in the SEO game, you need to learn and adapt. If you can't hang, you fall by the wayside. Simple as that.

One thing is clear. They are getting good at making a mess out of everything and making us clean it up. Latest Panda updates started around January 20 and have been rolling ever since. They don't hit the whole web all at once, yet they roll through as time passes, keeping everyone on their toes. Smart if you think about it. Makes it harder to figure out, because one person can give an antidote and the next one disproves the theory. It makes sense on their part if you really think about it.

Agreed. This is the other side of the coin now. Some of the SERPs are awful. Filled with some serious junk. EMDs are making a come back though:)

Good read. I have started to do a lot of the things that are talked about in that thread.

I have a theory as to why this might have happened to my site. I don't want to share it at this time as its just a theory and if I am correct I will be able to confirm it hopefully within the next month and I will share it at that time.

But again, its just a theory but its the best explanation I have at this time.

I am not stopping one bit. I just went and purchased another computer to get some more computing power and I am going to push this to the limit, but in a smart way, at least I hope.
 
Damn Google! You are not alone to this situation. I'm trying to figure out also to get my site back. I was wondering also that some my keywords remain to #1 spot while others are thrown away.
