Bing it On! (Bing vs. Google)

I saw this campaign a little while ago. It was actually a tv commercial.

All bing has to do is get users to use it more than they use google..

Definitely trying Bing. Google's results aren't very relevant these days and its a pain having to look through every result carefully

Did you just ignore the second part of what I said?

No, I just ignored it. My reading comprehension skills require a lot of energy, and I'm quite low on dilithium crystals right now. Waiting for a shipment to come in from Aldebaran 5, but it's overdue. Besides that, a recent survey shows that 92.5% of the Members on BHW know that you hate Google with a passion that blinds you to all reason.

I neither love, nor hate Google, I just exploit them and I've owned a lot of their stock since the $640s (I call it SEO insurance). Only fools ignore easy avenues of revenue though, and Bing can provide that.

My results were tied - 1 for G, 1 for B, and 3 ties.

Though I'll admit that my 5th and final search in this spar - "red head gene" - skewed my results.
Bing yielded several pornographic video results for a lovely red headed woman named Gene being utilized for her many titular functions, as well as other more general videos implying the same actions, but not featuring the lovely Gene.

Clearly that was more helpful to me than a bland Wikipedia or HowStuffWorks article on the history of the "red head gene" and the many facets of the topic. Google actually thought I wanted to know about the gene which results in red hair, and not the porn star - Gene - with red hair! Laughable! No porn! Hah!

it seems like Google is the obvious choice for marketers

google allone still owns 80 percent of the global search volume today, i do hope that bing will grow bigger but right now google is still market leader by far

Google local results just suck, if you want to rank for google local set up YELP and Yellowpages then Google will rank you.
