Bing controls 31% of the US search market, not sure what you're talking about (at their low, they controlled less than 4%).

Bing and Google's results are 180 degrees different, and one could argue that their product searches are now *way* better than Google's after Google shopping became paid.

Bing also gives you free shit for using it, which is why it's my default engine now (yes I still market and rank on Google namely). http://www.bing.com/explore/rewards. Everyone appears to be biased against Bing, but their results are actually great since mid 2012 when they changed their engine. They're *much* better for local listings than Google, for example.

Their "study" was based on around 1k people only so very statistically significant...
Anyways they suggested the keywords whre Bing did look way better than the Google Ads plastered results etc. However when ppl used their own terms it was basically a tie or sth along those lines.

I see you've never taken a statistics course. 1000 people has a less than 5% uncertainty. If you want to insult their methodology, that's another issue entirely.

The Yale professor's sample consisted nearly entirely of students I believe, which is pretty dubious considering the generational gap in preferences and familiarity with Google results (it's easy to spot Google if you're familiar with them). It also was conducted a year after the original Bingiton study, after google had changed their algorithm with no fewer than 5 very large updates.

In fact, merely by knowing how google displays "news for keyword" rather than the large picture way Bing does, you can easily identify Google results on every search in the "challenge". The only fair challenge is organic results actually listed IMO, and see who has better results.
