My guess, he is doing viral stuff or he is buying PPV traffic.

Your friend will not disclose his method to you. You can check his website to get some clues.

If he gets so many visitors he surely did something and worked for it. Maybe he gets traffic from Google, Bing etc... or social media.

And it's not easy to get that many visitors. You can copy his site, maybe add a new theme, but with the same structure. Check if he has a stats icon at the bottom of the page to see where the traffic is coming from.

You have to think about a strategy to promote your site, everyone on this forum has his own strategy.

I'd suggest you to read the "Black Hat SEO" forum here on BHW and start thinking about a method to get traffic to your site. Twist the method, and test, test, test.

For sites like these these kind of numbers aren't big .However you can be sure that the traffic sucks basicly free leekers that would explain why he is only making so little money with adsense
 
It all depends upon your niche and the number of keywords you can rank for. But social media and bought traffic could also account for visitation.
 
I think you can ask Google Support on this question, you can go to google , Google App For work, then initiate a Live Chat, ask them the question.
I think Google will have the data why he got 500,000 visitors a day.
 
I known a person, who soes the same with autoclicker, and mobile internet.

i said that he makes 2 000 - 3 000 euro per month from one account.. and for this he needs only 1 or 2 days, then he deletes ads-s from site...
 
If your have 500 000 visitors a day on your website then you sale me traffic. Because i use cpm serve platrofm. I think cpmserve purchase your traffic in 300 Euro per day. United state and Au traffic rates are 0.60$ cpm.
