I came to know about this thread and found that BHW was using spammy practices to make the marketplace look fluffy with fake customers. Is it true? Respective moderators have confirmed about this.

How those are some baseless allegations? Moderator himself accepted that these practices have been performed for years on BHW. You are saying that moderator's statements are basesless?
