What is Situation of Law and Order in Jamaica ?

Kingston wasnt the most dangerous area in the world lol...
Where you from?
Depends on the area.
I visited a few times. The "Bush" in Jamaica is like an overgrown Garden of Eden. Its amazing. I met Rastas down there that can drop off the map and live well in the bush for weeks at a time. All the fresh fruit and water you need to live well and if you smoke or shroom, which I did at the time, Whoooah!! lol
There are middle class suburbs in Jamaica with a standard of living better than that of middle class suburbs in the U.S. Nice homes and plenty of two, three and four car garage families all over the place and No Crime. None. Quieter, less crowded than burbs in the States and amazing fresh cheap food.
The ghetto areas, like the notorious Kingston for example (the most dangerous area in the world until the Iraq war started) are where you want to steer clear of unless you like edgy. The ghettoes are the most publicized and smallest part of Jamaica. Its a problem but who says you have to the bad neighborhoods?

Jamaica is many different separate worlds in one island. Great place to visit or to live.
You don't want to know and it changes constantly.
That statement wasn't opinion. It was from the news. Where you from?
Re: "This island nation once held the top spot for most homicides, a rate that is gradually slipping with increase enforcement and prevention activities."
Maaan. I really want to live in jamaica someday.
Sounds and looks awesome... A few more questions if you dont mind.
What about Internet and so on?
What about the costs of houses?
If I dont want to live in citys... What are some other good locations?
What are the laws regarding foreigners in jamaica? (How long can you stay, citizenship etc.)
