I'd been thinking about posting a similar thread for a long time.
I was thinking about hiring a conference room in a hotel, OR I have actually hired a room at the Sports Cafe before?
We could have a chin wag, network, AND they bring beer to you?
I hired it for a stag do, but the use of the room is free if you can guarantee heads?
Would be happy to try and help arrange something?

I'd fly over but you guys all drink your beer warm.
I've actually done something similar on the west coast of FL with a group of guys and these things can be real beneficial.
Meathead has the right idea... hanging out, having a beer, talking about IM and you'll find that there will be a lot that you can take from a meet up like this.
The informality of the "meeting" allows you to relax and things can really get going conversation wise.

I'm down, it's a pretty quick train ride into the city and I'm always looking for an excuse to meet some like minded individuals.
We should all hit up The Ritz, walk in with luxury suits, sit down without words, order a drink, shift our eyes across the table and then leave with a million dollar deal closed. The Batman theme song could be playing in the background, or perhaps something from Mission Impossible.
